Position Summary 

We’re looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead the development and execution of our AI strategy across our automotive SaaS ecosystem. This role sits within the centralized Data Platform product team and serves as the connective tissue across multiple product lines. You will be responsible for driving the Agentic AI strategy, leading cross-functional efforts with data science, engineering, and product teams to deliver platform-wide AI capabilities. You will serve as the point person for identifying, prioritizing, and scoping AI-powered features that scale across our dealer and OEM-facing products, with a sharp eye on scalability, efficiency, and innovation. 

This is a strategic, high-impact role for someone who thrives in systems thinking, is passionate about practical AI applications, and can balance vision with action. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Lead the centralized Agentic AI strategy and maintain a scalable roadmap that aligns with business and product objectives. 

  • Serve as the platform AI lead, partnering with other product managers to identify and collect cross-product AI feature requests and use cases. 

  • Prioritize and scope AI features in collaboration with data science and engineering, ensuring feasibility, value, and scalability. 

  • Drive a modular platform approach to AI agents, enabling product teams to build and manage their own agents within a common framework. 

  • Define and manage cross-product capabilities such as prompt management, orchestration, observability, and agent evaluation. 

  • Represent AI initiatives in product planning sessions and executive reviews, ensuring alignment across teams. 

  • Translate complex AI concepts into clear product requirements and customer value stories for internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Establish success metrics and measurement frameworks to monitor the performance and impact of AI-powered experiences. 

  • Keep a pulse on emerging AI technologies and trends and assess their applicability to our business and platform. 

  • Champion ethical and responsible AI practices, particularly around data use, transparency, and user experience. 

 

Qualifications 

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 6 years focused on AI/ML, data platforms, or developer tools. 

  • Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, particularly around agentic AI, LLM orchestration, Retrieval-Augmented Generations (RAG), and prompt engineering. 

  • Deep expertise in GenAI, NLP, time-series forecasting, or recommender systems 

  • Demonstrated experience in OpenAI APIs, Snowflake, Databricks 

  • Demonstrated success leading platform or infrastructure-level product initiatives in a SaaS environment. 

  • Experience working with data science and engineering teams on experimental and production-ready models. 

  • Deep product sense and ability to balance long-term platform scalability with short-term delivery needs. 

  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences. 

  • Comfortable navigating matrixed organizations and influencing without authority. 

  • Experience with MLOps, feature stores, or AI observability tools is a plus. 

  • Automotive, enterprise SaaS, or vertical SaaS experience preferred. 

  • Experience with model deployment tools (i.e. FastAPI, Docker) and Cloud ML platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), preferred. 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or graduate degree a plus. 

 

 Base Salary: $180,000 - $205,000

 

CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation packages are based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, certifications, and work location.  The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.We offer Medical, dental, and vision benefits in addition to:
