Role overview
The Principal Process Excellence Analyst is responsible for evaluating, designing, and continuously improving end-to-end People and Talent processes to ensure they are efficient, scalable, employee-centered, and aligned with business strategy. This role partners closely with People & Talent leaders, People Strategy Partners, and cross-functional stakeholders to identify pain points, streamline and standardize how work gets done, and deliver sustainable process improvements that enhance the employee experience and operational effectiveness. The role will also lead the identification and adoption of AI-enabled capabilities to reduce manual effort, improve cycle time and quality, and strengthen decision-making across People & Talent.

The displayed range represents the expected annual base salary / On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this position. On-Target Earnings (OTE) is inclusive of base salary and on-target commission earnings, which applies exclusively to sales roles.
Individual pay within this range is determined by work location and other factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
This annual base salary forms part of a comprehensive Total Rewards Package. In addition to benefits, this role may qualify for discretionary bonuses/incentives and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

The role will also lead the identification and adoption of AI-enabled capabilities to reduce manual effort, improve cycle time and quality, and strengthen decision-making across People & Talent.
What you'll do
- Assess and document current-state People & Talent processes across the employee lifecycle (e.g., recruiting, onboarding, performance management, learning & development, compensation, workforce planning, offboarding).
- Identify inefficiencies, redundancies, risks, and opportunities for automation or simplification.
- Design future-state processes that are scalable, compliant, data-driven, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead process improvement initiatives using structured methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement frameworks).
- Translate business and employee needs into clear process requirements and success metrics.
- Develop process documentation, workflows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and change management materials.
- Support implementation of new or improved processes, including piloting, rollout planning, and adoption tracking.
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data (e.g., cycle times, employee feedback, error rates) to measure process effectiveness.
- Recommend and support improvements to HR systems and tools in partnership with HRIS and technology teams.
- Design, configure, and implement HR system solutions, workflows, and internal tools (e.g., within Workday or automation platforms) to automate processes and directly enable future-state process designs.
- Establish governance and continuous improvement practices to ensure processes remain effective over time.
- Lead AI-enabled process improvements across HR, from use-case identification through pilot, rollout, and adoption measurement.
What you'll bring
- 5+ years of experience in process engineering, process improvement, operations, or HR transformation.
- Demonstrated experience improving complex, cross-functional processes.
- Proven ability to lead change through stakeholder influence, communications, enablement materials, and adoption tracking.
- Strong understanding of HR and Talent processes across the employee lifecycle.
- Strong Workday end-user experience with configuration familiarity
- Demonstrated use of Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or similar structured improvement methodologies.
- Proven track record delivering automation and AI-enabled solutions in HR, shared services, or other operational environments with high transaction volume and complex handoffs.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills; comfort working in ambiguity and driving clarity.
- Demonstrated experience building SOPs and establishing ongoing governance/continuous improvement practices for HR/People Operations
