McLaren Strategic Solutions is searching for a Principal Network Engineer to design, build, and support our clients' global hybrid network, which spans data centers and cloud environments. You’ll leverage technologies like Cisco NX-OS, automation tools, and cloud networking, driving high performance, security, and innovation while leading projects and collaborating across global teams.
Responsibilities
- Architect and design high-performance, secure, and scalable data center network solutions across global environments, ensuring alignment with business needs and compliance standards.
- Lead network infrastructure projects end-to-end, including planning, implementation, change management, and operational handover, ensuring timely delivery and minimal service disruption.
- Provide tier 3/4 support and expert troubleshooting for complex issues in global data centers, WAN, LAN, and cloud networks, ensuring the stability and performance of services.
- Develop and implement network automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using tools like Ansible, Python, and Terraform to enhance efficiency and operational reliability.
- Establish and maintain global network standards, documentation, and performance monitoring, ensuring continuous optimization, proactive problem management, and SLA compliance.
Required Experience
- 10+ years in technical networking roles with significant data center and enterprise networking exposure
- At least 6 years working in large, global enterprise environments managing hybrid networks spanning data centers, WAN, LAN, and cloud.
- Deep hands-on experience with Cisco technologies, including NX-OS, NDFC, DNA Center, and security platforms like Cisco Firepower and Fortinet
- Strong background in cloud networking across major providers (Azure, AWS, GCP), including designing and troubleshooting cloud route tables, VPNs, and hybrid connectivity
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting complex network issues, performing root cause analysis, and leading high-impact network projects from conception to deployment.
