Principal Machine Learning Engineer 

Role Overview:
The Edge AI team is seeking a Principal Machine Learning Engineer with deep expertise in DSP and signal processing to lead the development and optimization of DSP components within heterogeneous compute graphs for Edge AI architectures. This role will focus on advancing the DSP and AI systems, ensuring seamless integration with neural network models, and optimizing performance for deployment on Analog Devices hardware platforms. The ideal candidate will also have leadership capabilities, with the potential to grow and manage a small team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and optimization of DSP components within heterogeneous compute graphs for Edge AI architectures.
  • Develop and implement advanced signal processing techniques to complement neural network models in Edge AI systems.
  • Collaborate with AI engineers, hardware teams, and software developers to ensure efficient integration of DSP and AI components.
  • Drive the development of tools and workflows.
  • Mentor and manage junior engineers, fostering technical growth and collaboration within the team.
  • Stay informed on advancements in DSP, AI, and hardware technologies, and apply them to improve system performance.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of industry experience in DSP, signal processing, or related areas, with a focus on AI/ML applications.
  • Strong expertise in digital signal processing and its integration with machine learning models.
  • Proficiency in developing and optimizing DSP algorithms for constrained hardware environments.
  • Experience with embedded systems and heterogeneous compute architectures.
  • Proven ability to lead technical projects and manage small teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with neural network models and hybrid AI architectures.
  • Experience with model optimization techniques (e.g., quantization, pruning) for deployment on embedded platforms.
  • Knowledge of Analog Devices hardware platforms or similar embedded systems.

The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $221,720 to $304,865.
  • Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.

  • This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.

  • This position includes medical, vision and dental coverage, 401k, paid vacation, holidays, and sick time, and other benefits.
