Arm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced lawyer with a strong background in tech to handle day-to-day aspects of litigation strategy!
The ideal candidate is a business-minded lawyer who is focused on execution and is comfortable making thoughtful, creative decisions. This role requires a high degree of self-sufficiency but also someone who enjoys being part of a supportive team dedicated to providing top legal service to our internal clients. You must be comfortable working with uncertainty in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing litigation strategies for Arm, including management of outside counsel.
  • Drafting and responding to discovery requests and subpoenas, including coordinating collection of documents across multiple business units.
  • Crafting and negotiating patent license agreements and litigation settlement agreements, as well as advising on terms for commercial contracts as needed.
  • Providing creative and proactive counselling to the business on threats, IP risks, and ongoing litigation.

Required Skills and Experience :
  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Member of State Bar within the US, including the ability to practice law in-house in your state of residence.
  • At least 6 years of experience with complex litigation at a major law firm or IP boutique.
  • Excellent communication and drafting skills.
  • Capable of building strong business and working relationships within Arm and with its partners.
  • Schedule flexibility when meeting across multiple time zones.
  • Ability to meet Arm's policies for office attendance and to travel as needed for depositions, hearings, trials, and other litigation-related issues.

"Nice To Have" Skills and Experience :
  • Prior in-house experience.
  • Experience in litigation involving patent, trademark, or anti competition allegations.
  • Licensed to practice as a patent attorney before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
  • Experience in working across cultures, in different countries.
  • Computer science or engineering degree.

Salary Range:
$233,750-$316,250 per year
