Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist who is experienced in export operations and is a motivated self-starter to support the Advanced & Strategic Global Supply Chain Team. This position is  full-time remote.

Here are some of the duties and responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual, in-depth export transaction reviews of company export shipping orders to ensure that all U.S. government compliance and company requirements and processes are followed.
  • Become a subject matter expert in export shipment request workflow requirements within the enterprise Web-based trade compliance management system.
  • Provide guidance and support to programs and other internal stakeholder organizations on logistics fulfillment requirements for multiple transaction types, including production sales, returns-for-repair, material-to-vendor, tangible software/data/publications, hand-carries, trade show exhibitions, etc. to a wide variety of international destinations.
  • Assist internal shipping operations personnel in export shipping order planning and booking via all transport modes with NG and customer-appointed external logistics service providers, including freight forwarders, customs brokers, and express couriers, with trade compliance and fiscal responsibility in support of on-time performance of company international business requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of ITAR-22CFR, EAR-15CFR, and FTR-15CFR export compliance controls for application to company export transactions.
  • Monitor complete and accurate transmission to the AES/ACE reporting tool of all internally generated Electronic Export Information (EEI) data sets for company export transactions.
  • Assist internal shipping personnel and logistics service providers in generating all necessary export transaction transit documentation, including customs invoices, packing lists, origin declarations, waybills, and bills-of-lading for company export transactions while in compliance to government and company requirements.
  • Support company transportation expense budgets via transportation service provider and service-level selections to meet company delivery schedule requirements with trade compliance at the lowest cost.
  • Monitor and track export shipments to delivery completion in accordance with the associated U.S. government export authorization and the company’s contractual delivery requirements.
  • Monitor accurate reporting of decrements to State and Commerce Department export licenses via internal tools.
  • Maintain complete and accurate export shipment records in accordance with all internal recordkeeping requirements, terms & conditions, and government regulations governing trade compliance.
  • Assist internal trade compliance assessments and audits, as needed, with management and complete all assigned actions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain transportation and/or commercial freight forwarding operations and/or related field OR Master's degree and minimum of 3  years of experience in supply chain transportation and/or commercial freight forwarding operations.
  • Experience in U.S. export operations requirements, including international air, sea, and surface transport and logistics
  • US Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience of ITAR, EAR and FTR regulations, and management of use of DOS and DOC licenses and license exemptions/exceptions to support exports.

Primary Level Salary Range: $85,600.00 - $128,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
