As one of the fastest growing and innovative technology companies in the world, Databricks was founded to solve the world’s toughest challenges through the Lakehouse - the world’s most complete and capable architecture for organizations to analyze the past, act on the present, and predict the future through data, analytics, and AI.  In combining the Lakehouse with native generative AI, Databricks now offers the world’s first Data Intelligence Platform - democratizing the power of AI for an organization’s people and data, so that they can bring AI to the world.

We seek a dynamic leader to join the Industry & Solutions marketing team, focused on solutions for marketing departments, from advertising and martech to customer data platforms.  This is a critical area for Databricks, as it represents some of our fastest-growing, highly adopted use cases and a significant driver of pipeline across Databricks.  The solutions help businesses engage, understand, and activate audiences, with AI unlocking key use cases, like targeting, segmentation, and audience insights.

Ideal candidates will have a proven record of marketing impact, tech understanding, and expertise specifically in marketing use cases and solutions.  You’ll understand the role of customer data platforms and have experience building strategies to engage marketing personas, from practitioners to decision-makers, across verticals..

As an Industry and Solutions Marketer at Databricks, you will be a true leader - guiding messaging, content, event strategy, analyst relationships, and GTM programs, for marketing organizations. Collaborating with teams across Databricks, you’ll drive thought leadership, generate demand, and position Databricks as a key partner in data intelligence through content like blogs, white papers, and social tactics. This role reports to the head of Industry & Solutions marketing.

The impact you will have:

  • Launch the Data Intelligence Platform for Marketing and position Databricks as a market share leader in the multi-hundred billion dollar martech space - where customers’ multi-billion dollar spend in the CDP space alone will double each year over the next decade.
  • Position Databricks as a leader in analyst research related to customer experience platforms
  • Growing engagement from executives - specifically technical decision-makers who engage the CMO and others in the C-Suite.
  • Identify 3 core solutions for which you develop the marketing strategy to deliver 2x the current pipeline.
  • Productivity and CSAT gains for field stakeholders through the sales enablement you build.
  • Accelerate consumption by 30%+ driven by audience-specific solutions you identify and content you create - blogs, videos, pitches, discovery guides and more.
  • Acceleration of pipeline by 50% for GSIs and ISVs you identify and with whom you co-market.
  • Build credibility through developing 5 customer references a quarter - including case studies, videos, and brand campaigns.

What we look for:

  • 7+ years of experience marketing and/or deploying technology solutions within an enterprise software organization or vertical brand with direct relevance to marketing departments and technology.
  • Understanding customer data platforms - both in a B2B and B2C context - and ad tech/strategy is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with cloud, big data, data analytics, data warehouse, and/or AI/ML technologies, with a proven ability to translate the highly technical to relevant use cases and outcomes preferred.
  • Deep understanding of the technology solutions and operating models driving marketing departments - industry context is a plus.
  • Experience as both a subject matter expert and marketer with strength in storytelling, creative, strategy, and execution.
  • Customer-facing experience presenting to executives and decision-makers at relevant events, executive briefings, and sales meetings.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced matrix environment.
