Job Description:

Position Description: 

 

Builds automation pipelines by leveraging Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools Maven, GIT/Stash, Jenkins, Artifactory, and uDeploy. Implements process improvements by using Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (Agile and Scrum). Enhances data engineering components by leveraging database tools SQL and PL/SQL. Develops front-end, middle-tier, and back-end technologies JAVA, Angular8+, Spring framework, Oracle, and REST Application Program Interface (APIs). Programs in ksh and Bash scripting languages. 

 

Primary Responsibilities: 

 

  • Participates in architecture and feature design. 

  • Defines and implements application-level architecture. 

  • Develops applications on complex projects, components, and subsystems for the division. 

  • Recommends development/testing tools and methodologies to review and validate test plans. 

  • Responsible for QA readiness of software deliverables. 

  • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications or subsystems. 

  • Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex projects across multiple platforms. 

  • Responsible for meeting project goals on-time and on-budget. 

  • Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies for projects. 

  • Plans and coordinates project schedules and assignments for multiple projects. 

  • Acts as a primary liaison for business units to resolve various project/technology issues. 

  • Provides technology solutions to daily issues and technical evaluation estimates on technology initiatives. 

  • Advises senior management on technical strategy. 

  • Mentors junior team members. 

  • Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.  

  • Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts. 

 

Education and Experience: 

 

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Full Stack Engineer (or closely related occupation) designing, implementing, and supporting web applications, APIs, and data pipelines using Java, Spring, Oracle, and Angular in a financial services domain.  

 

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Full Stack Engineer (or closely related occupation) designing, implementing, and supporting web applications, APIs, and data pipelines using Java, Spring, Oracle, and Angular in a financial services domain. 

 

Skills and Knowledge: 

 

Candidate must also possess: 

 

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing, implementing, and testing middleware or APIs using Java or Python, Spring, and SQL (Oracle) within a cloud environment (AWS); and performing automated testing using Cucumber and deployment within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.  

  • DE designing, implementing, testing, and optimizing front-end applications that run in the browser using a modern front-end JavaScript framework (Angular or React).  

  • DE writing complex SQL queries and optimizing query performance in a modern relational database (Oracle). 

  • DE writing technical design documentation, testing, deploying, and maintaining software in an Agile team using Scrum or Kanban.
