Leidos has an opening in our Digital Modernization Sector for a talented and energetic Principal Financial Analyst Lead to work with the best and brightest employees around the country in creating innovative all-encompassing solutions for our programs.  You will work in a fast-paced and diverse environment, enjoy flexible work arrangements, and will have a management team that encourages your career development and growth.  This is a key contributor role for a Leidos focus program with total contract value over $2B and annual revenue north of $100M that delivers IT solutions to our NASA customer. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting (net bookings, revenue, OI/fee and cash), and effectively managing financial risks and opportunities.

  • Collaborate with program team and across Leidos functions to define program goals, establish budget, and prepare and maintain EAC.

  • Make recommendations to leadership for making business decisions.

  • Proposal involvement (pricing and cost volume leadership) and building internal and external relationships to grow the program and achieve strategic goals.

  • Continuously drive reporting process and system enhancements to increase speed, consistency and accuracy of KPI reporting.

  • Support ad-hoc cost reporting and performance analysis.

  • Coordinate all aspects of annual planning and quarterly forecast processes, including review of summary financials, establishing timelines, preparing presentations for management and oversight of submissions and commentary

  • Lead the planning and forecasting inclusive of Balance Sheet & Cash Flow, coordination of key drivers with various functional areas and updating planning models as the business evolves

  • Prepare monthly program reporting for monthly operating review (MOR) and In Process Review (IPR)

  • Plan and support long range financial plans that are consistent with both short-term and long-term corporate objectives

  • Create robust internal reporting to provide necessary information to senior management and program stakeholders

  • Provide management with timely, accurate, and insightful financial analysis to monitor financial results and enable strategic decision-making.

  • Assist with identifying potential accounting issues and driving the resolution to ground

  • Partner with the broader finance organization to drive process and systematic improvements across the company

  • Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business.

Please Note:  This is 100% Telework role.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 12+ years of relevant finance experience (Example:  FP&A, Pricing, Program Finance) OR a Master’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience. 

  • Able to perform functions such as financial planning, financial analysis, and general accounting.

  • Able to extract data from multiple sources and effectively summarize the current financial position of the program.

  • Have a comprehensive knowledge of the project finance field and the ability to complete difficult and complex assignments.  This position requires a problem solver that can pull together knowledge from a broad range of subjects to produce thorough analysis of multifaceted, challenging issues, and use those analyses to find solutions.

  • Be committed to customer service, be well organized, be able to plan and prioritize assignments, and be able to successfully handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, be courteous and professional.

  • Have the ability to work with remote teams and in a fast-paced environment.

  • Propose and implement project/program improvements.

  • Strong background in the entire Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel, particularly in the development of formulas, v-lookups, and macros.

  • Demonstrate advanced analytical skills.

  • Positive can-do attitude, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • US Citizenship is required and able to obtain at minimum Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Leidos Financial Systems such as Costpoint, Oracle Analytics Cloud, Cognos, Power BI, and ServiceNow.

  • Microsoft Excel (Advanced Level).

Please Note:  The program budget salary for this role could fall anywhere between $130,000 to mid/high $145,000 with a slight wiggle room (no guarantees) based on relevant experience and assessment.  Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Pay Range:Pay Range $116,350.00 - $210,325.00
