Position Summary
The Principal Enterprise Solutions Architect leads technical solutioning across the enterprise and ensures strategic decisions are made that are scalable, reliable, and meet the strategic goals of the business. This position will be responsible for setting the enterprise architecture strategy for Coverys, leading the technology organization through solutioning of the systems. Additionally, this role will also be responsible for establishing & enforcing enterprise architecture standards across delivery teams. The Principal Enterprise Solutions Architect will apply knowledge of solid architecture practices, documentation standards, and technologies in the industry to recommend target state design and architecture.
The Principal Enterprise Solutions Architect is a key role that is a strategic advisor to the Chief Information Officer and must be comfortable to present technology recommendations to Executive Leadership, and establish scalable, secure and reliable architectural patterns for the enterprise
In addition to enforcing the right enterprise architectural principles and patterns, the technical solutions, this role will provide guidance and mentorship to technical teams and ensure successful implementation of designed solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture Strategy
Evaluate the current architecture at Coverys and align it to the future growth needs of business.
Identify anti-patterns and recommend remediations.
Understand the business needs and align the future architecture to meet these needs & Coverys strategic objectives in a scalable, reliable and secure way.
Establish and enforce architectural principles, guidelines, and standards to ensure consistency and maintainability of the IT landscape.
Act as a strategic leader in the AI Journey of Coverys, partnering closely with CIO Team & Data Analytics Director. Be the point person to evaluate AI Solutions providing input and recommendations on data architecture and enterprise architecture readiness.
Evaluate emerging technology and its potential for moving the organization toward its strategic goals and recommend appropriate solutions.
Execution Leadership
Facilitate the establishment and execution of the roadmap and vision for information delivery and management, including: the enterprise data, solution patterns for policy admin and other systems.
Act as key contributor to the solutioning & design. Lead the delivery teams and the IT leadership towards strategies to implement these recommended solutions.
Architectural Standards and Documentation
Create detailed architectural designs and ensure that solutions are implemented effectively.
Develop architectural blueprints for complex IT solutions, considering business requirements, technical feasibility, security, scalability, and performance.
Present architectural designs and technical solutions to various stakeholders, including business leaders and development teams.
Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with implementation of new technologies.
Engage an end-to-end approach by connecting all the pieces of architecture to deliver the solutions while leveraging all available assets.
Own the enterprise architecture solutioning, inclusive of data architecture and solution design for infrastructure. This involves understanding the processes for extraction, transformation, loading of data, and collaborate to safeguard data quality.
Education, Requirements, Competencies & Values
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant field from an accredited college or university, required; Master’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferred
Minimum ten years of progressive technology architecture solutions and end-to-end development life-cycle support and SDLC processes.
Minimum eight years guiding a team of architects, engineers, quality assurance, and/or operations professionals through a project lifecycle.
Experience with architectural frameworks (TOGAF) and methodologies (ADM).
Familiarity with Cloud platforms and associated cloud technologies
Expertise in data integration (API solutions) and data platforms (Snowflake). Experience in data modeling and data governance. Established experience delivering technology solutions to large numbers of end users.
Demonstrated understanding of cloud computing, enterprise platforms (Salesforce, Workday), enterprise data warehouse, big data, BI & analytics, and emerging technologies.
Ability to mentor technical teams and foster collaboration toward successful solution delivery.
Strong analytical reasoning and impact-focused while demonstrating big-picture thinking.
Passion for innovation with a test and learn mindset.
Strategic thinking.
Comfortable with evaluating technologies in areas of data integrations, enterprise solutions, infrastructure according to standard architecture patterns, future scalability, security and reliability.
Clear communicator that can collaborate directly with the business to ensure the solutions being designed are meeting the needs and evaluating all technologies without bias and with industry insights, to provide what is best of the business.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify issues, analyze data, and develop innovative solutions.
Ability to connect dots across the various solutions & recommend what may work best.

The base salary range for this role is $150,000-$202,000. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors that are unique to each candidate including geographic location, skill set, experience, qualifications and education.
