Responsible for driving the construction category and supplier relationships for all global construction projects. Engage externally with architects and design firms, construction management and general contracting companies. Act as primary point of contact for assigned construction suppliers. Manage Supplier Relationship Globally. Perform commercial supplier qualification activities to ensure the commercial development of strategic suppliers. Maintain collaborative relationships with supplier(s) while effectively resolving supplier performance/capability issues to ensure alignment with Micron's strategic direction. Ensure suppliers follow Micron's business ethics, code-of-conduct programs, and corporate safety policies and social responsibility initiatives. Communicate key supplier management updates and decisions to multiple levels in the organization including Executive Leadership and enlist senior management to help reinforce commitment and involvement from suppliers. Lead or participate in negotiations for construction contract and incorporate savings targets and contract requirements into conversations. Lead sourcing events/RFQ process. Develop a contract strategy for each project, including to create, negotiate, supervise and implement contracted terms and conditions. Align with Global Facilities collaborators and sites teams to build comprehensive view of supplier performance. Contract Administration ensuring all contractual obligations are being fulfilled by both Owner and Contractor. Own and lead overall Strategic Supplier relationships for construction category. Collaborate internally to drive and develop key performance measures/metrics for Strategic Suppliers and supervise supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement. Lead in prioritizing and delivering on strategic supplier events, such as Quarterly Business Reviews, Annual Supplier Evaluations, and Executive Review Meetings. Participate in supplier segmentation and strategic goal setting. Provide market intelligence and price trends to relevant internal partners on a well-adapted schedule. Apply should-cost models for assigned categories that are benchmarked and relevant to the global marketplace. Serve as the subject matter authority for construction procurement category and share knowledge with key partners and Indirect teams to enable more effective planning, forecasting and execution. May work at various unanticipated locations throughout U.S. May telecommute. Position requires 25% international and domestic travel.
Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistic Management, Construction Management, or related field followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept a Master's degree in in Supply Chain Management, Logistic Management, Construction Management, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Position requires:
1. Construction, construction management, or contracting (AIA, FIDIC and Bespoke construction contracts);
2. Leading multiple large-scale projects;
3. Construction contract negotiation, execution, and administration;
4. Construction procurement tendering process including supplier sourcing, qualification and selection;
5. P6 software reports and scheduling tools;
6. Project Management methodologies;
7. Change Order Management, contract terms and conditions, and category management;
8. Construction Software tools such as ProCore, BlueBeam, Adobe Construction Cloud or other platforms; and
9. SAP suite of software related to supply chain, Finance and Procurement disciplines.
