Group Description:

The Precision Signal Chain Group develops next generation precision sensing and signal conditioning ICs for a broad range of industrial and instrumentation multi markets.  We also have an adjacent focus on Scientific Instruments end market, helping transform molecules into insights in applications such as food safety, air and water quality, drug discovery & development, as well as genetic sciences.

As our real-world analog signal processing capabilities advance, there is an increasing demand for ultra-high precision signal conditioning solutions. To achieve this goal, our team of analog and digital designers work on ground-breaking products by merging cutting-edge process technologies with advanced IC design techniques.

The Precision Signal Group is seeking an experienced Principal level Analog Design Engineer to join our development team.

Responsibilities:

The Analog Design team is responsible for breaking down system level requirements into design specifications, developing breakthrough architectures and designing analog signal chains & subsystems. The key functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the development of analog/mixed-signal products in the following areas: Architecture, implementation and verification of transistor-level signal conditioning blocks and systems.
  • Collaborate with local and remote Design, Test, Applications, and Marketing engineers during system definition to create robust and efficient architectures, including downstream specifications at the analog block level.
  • Participate in customer engagements to determine technical feasibility and development of the business cases for new product concepts.
  • Provide technical oversight and support of other job functions such as IC layout, PCB design/layout, lab evaluation, and test to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Engage with Wafer Fab to improve process technology adoption, with active participation in defining next generation process nodes.
  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership, enabling a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements:

  • Expert-level knowledge of analog and mixed-signal circuit design and layout, tools, and flows and of semiconductor device physics
  • Extensive design experience in amplifiers/OPAMP circuits, including precision auto-zero and chopping, DACs, ADCs, bandgaps, bias circuits, LDOs
  • Strong written and verbal communication and technical documentation skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • MS / PhD degree in EE or ECE with focus on analog/mixed signal design with 15+ years of relevant industry experience.

For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export  licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.  As such, applicants for this position – except US Citizens, US Permanent Residents, and protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) – may have to go through an export licensing review process.
