Join us as a Principal AI Software Developer / Tech Lead (ChemBio Informatics) where you'll play a pivotal role in integrating advanced AI capabilities into our Signals Notebook product. This is your chance to shape the future of AI-driven tools in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Main functions

  • Design and implement scalable AI infrastructure to support the Signals Notebook product

  • Develop and integrate AI-driven features that enhance user experience and functionality

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize AI opportunities

  • Ensure the reliability, security, and performance of AI systems

  • Stay ahead of industry trends and bring innovative AI solutions to the table

Responsibilities

  • Help architect solutions working closely with peers and management, ensuring solutions fit into our strategic vision

  • Work closely with UX and product management to define the product features

  • Participate in all team activities such as hiring, planning, requirements definition, design discussions, code reviews, and software development

  • Work effectively with other team members to provide a quality product for our customers

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of Software Engineering experience

  • 3-5+ years of Technical Lead experience, driving AI business initiatives

  • 3-5+ years of designing and implementing AI infrastructure, including building applications powered by LLMs

  • 5-8+ years of programming skills in Python and Java

  • 3-5+ years of experience with distributed execution frameworks like Dask, Sparc, Ray, or similar

  • 3-5+ years as a subject matter expert in emerging technologies and trends in areas such as: Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Machine Learning (ML), Cloud Computing, Data Science, Big Data, and Cyber Security

  • 5+ years of experience with AWS

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS/MS Computer Science or equivalent, advanced degree preferred

  • Experience with ChemBio Informatics, is highly desired

  • Experience as a full stack developer a plus

  • Experience building large scale, high-available applications desired

  • Experience with open-source technologies

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with other team members

  • Creative problem-solving skills
