The Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing and managing pricing strategies that support revenue growth, carrier sourcing, and competitive market positioning across IEL’s transportation services. This role partners closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance to develop accurate and strategic pricing solutions, maintain carrier relationships, and provide analytical insight that supports customer acquisition and retention.
The Pricing Analyst will evaluate market conditions, analyze transportation costs, source carrier capacity, and support the sales team through the pricing and quoting process. This position reports to the Enterprise Sales Manager.

Responsibilities:

Pricing Strategy & Analysis

·        Develop and implement pricing strategies and solutions across multiple transportation vendors and modes.

·        Analyze transportation costs, margins, and market trends to recommend pricing adjustments and cost-saving opportunities.

·        Prepare accurate and competitive pricing proposals that align with customer requirements and company objectives.

·        Generate reports and analysis related to pricing performance, profitability, and cost efficiency.

·        Maintain pricing databases and ensure pricing data is accurate, current, and properly documented.

·        Monitor industry trends, carrier pricing activity, and market conditions to support strategic decision-making.

Carrier Sourcing & Relationship Management

·        Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with carriers to build and support a reliable carrier network.

·        Source carrier capacity and obtain competitive quotes to support customer pricing requests.

·        Negotiate rates and pricing with carriers and external partners when appropriate.

·        Support carrier performance evaluation and ongoing sourcing initiatives.

Sales & Cross-Functional Support

·        Partner with the sales team to develop customer pricing strategies and respond to pricing inquiries.

·        Assist sales representatives in obtaining, reviewing, and evaluating carrier quotes.

·        Collaborate with Operations and Finance to ensure pricing accuracy, operational feasibility, and profitability.

·        Provide data-driven recommendations and strategic insight related to pricing opportunities and challenges.

·        Engage with customers and partners as needed to support pricing discussions and negotiations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Experience in pricing, transportation, logistics, supply chain, carrier sourcing, or related analytical role preferred.
  • Experience within the transportation or logistics industry preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and analyze data effectively.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with pricing software, ERP systems, database management, and data visualization tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with carriers, customers, and internal stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with carrier sourcing and carrier relationship management.
  • Experience within freight brokerage, third-party logistics (3PL), or transportation operations.
  • Knowledge of transportation pricing methodologies and market rate analysis.
