Healthcare is broken at the first step: patients can't find the right care, understand what it costs, or access the medications they need. Mochi Health is fixing this.

We're building an AI-driven marketplace that makes healthcare discoverable—connecting patients to the right providers, transparent pharmacy pricing, and affordable medications. Over the past few years, we've grown rapidly by combining clinical expertise with technology that actually works for real people, not just hospital systems.

Our platform does what legacy healthcare can't: it gives patients transparent pricing before they pay, personalized medication management that follows them across providers, and long-term access to their own medical records. We're proving that healthcare can be more affordable, more human, and far more intuitive than what exists today.

Join a team that's rebuilding healthcare from the patient up. At Mochi Health, you'll work alongside people who value bold thinking, inclusive collaboration, and getting meaningful work into the world. If you want to do the most impactful work of your career, this is where to do it.

Full-Time / Onsite in our San Francisco office (5 days/week)

About The Role

You'll be the second PR hire in Mochi Health history. That's not a small thing. Mochi is moving fast, growing strong, and the PR function is just getting started. There's a lot of ground to cover and a lot of upside for someone who wants to learn, own, and grow.

You'll work directly under our PR Lead, who will teach you the craft, give you real ownership early, and push you to think strategically from day one. This is a hands-on, execution-heavy role where no two days look the same. You'll support media relations, drive outreach, manage executive social media, and help build a PR program that punches above its weight.

If you're a go-getter who uses AI to work smarter, spots opportunities before being asked, and can write a sharp pitch and a punchy LinkedIn post with equal ease… we want to talk.

What You’ll Do
  • Research and identify media targets across health, tech, business, pharma, and lifestyle beats

  • Execute personalized pitch outreach and track response rates across beats

  • Monitor daily media coverage for Mochi and competitors, maintaining day-to-day list hygiene and outreach logistics

  • Monitor Qwoted daily for relevant healthcare, obesity, and longevity inquiries, submit responses to secure provider mentions in earned coverage

  • Own podcast outreach end-to-end: maintain and expand the target list, conduct outreach to bookers and hosts across health, business, and tech beats, and manage all booking logistics and guest prep

  • Own the conference and speaking pipeline: research events across health, tech, business, and pharma, evaluate strategic fit, submit speaker applications, and manage logistics for executive spokespeople

  • Own executive social media: manage day-to-day content and scheduling for CEO Myra Ahmad on LinkedIn and X, and support LinkedIn presence for various execs and team leads, writing sharp, on-brand copy that reflects each person's voice and Mochi's positioning

  • Own the day-to-day relationship with our TikTok content agency, coordinating briefs, feedback, and approvals to keep content on-brand and on-schedule

  • Monitor and respond to inbound patient emails via [email protected] through the admin portal, handling questions and requests in a timely and on-brand manner

  • Stay on top of trending conversations and identify reactive posting opportunities

Who You Are
  • 2-5 years of experience in PR, communications, or a related field (agency background a strong plus)

  • Hands-on experience with Muckrack or similar media monitoring platforms

  • Strong writer across formats (pitches, press releases, social copy, briefing notes)

  • Proficient in Excel for tracking outreach, coverage, and reporting

  • AI fluent! You use tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or similar to work faster and smarter, not as a crutch

  • Proactive by default. You spot opportunities, flag gaps, and bring recommendations without being asked

  • Organized and detail-oriented. You can juggle multiple outreach tracks without dropping the ball

  • A go-getter with a good sense of humor. You take the work seriously, not yourself

  • Detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable in a fast-paced, in-person environment in San Francisco

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
