Planet Technologies, the Nation’s leading Microsoft services provider to the public sector, is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our growing team as Power BI Developer. In this role, you will be supporting impactful projects that make a difference for our country.

This position will be in a fast-paced, mission-sensitive, highly advanced and integrated IT environment. Experience implementing solutions in sensitive Government environments is highly preferred. 

Responsibilities

  • Perform data preparation by identifying and connecting to multiple data source, selecting a storage mode, and using multiple data cloud based and/or on-premises data sources.
  • Profile the data by examining data structures, identifying data anomalies, and analyzing column properties.
  • Clean, transform, and load data by identifying and creating appropriate keys for joins.
  • Apply data shape transformation to table structures and configuring data loading.
  • Model data by definite tables, define relationship cardinality and cross-filter direction, leverage DAX to build complex measures.
  • Optimize the model’s performance.
  • Visualize the data by creating reports and dashboards.
  • Analyze the data by enhancing reports to expose insights, and by performing advanced analysis.
  • Deploy and maintain deliverables by managing datasets.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience working with Dataflows, PowerQuery ETL and the Common Data Model.
  • Ability to utilize Power BI tools, visuals and paginated reports
  • Experience with SQL and/or PL-SQL.
  • Experience working with data tables and matrices .
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data visualization and reporting and 1 year development in Power BI.
  • Certification: PL-300 - Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate

Salaries for Developers at Planet Technologies range from $100,000 and $180,000. Several factors will impact final pay offered to a successful candidate including but not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, clearance level, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, training, etc.
