Quality Deviation Management
  • Monitor QDR triggers and quality alerts.
  • Investigate quality deviations and determine probable causes.
  • Create, update, and close QDR records in manufacturing systems.
  • Ensure timely containment and disposition of affected lots.
  • Coordinate corrective and preventive actions with stakeholders.

Defect Investigation & Root Cause Analysis
  • Analyze yield excursions, defect trends, and process deviations.
  • Perform structured root cause investigations using 5-Why, Fishbone, 8D, FMEA, and statistical methodologies.
  • Validate corrective actions and track effectiveness.
  • Support wafer, package, and test-related failure investigations.

Process & Equipment Monitoring
  • Monitor equipment health and process performance indicators.
  • Identify abnormal trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support PM, calibration, troubleshooting, and equipment qualification activities.
  • Escalate critical quality issues to engineering teams.

Manufacturing Containment
  • Execute lot containment activities to prevent customer escapes.
  • Assess impact to quality, delivery, and reliability.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing, QA, and Engineering for risk disposition.
  • Document containment decisions and recovery actions.

Continuous Improvement
  • Drive yield and quality improvement projects.
  • Reduce recurring QDR occurrences through preventive actions.
  • Participate in automation and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Contribute to Best Known Methods (BKM) sharing across sites.

AI & Digital Skills
  • Utilize AI-powered tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Power BI AI features) to analyze quality trends, summarize QDR investigations, and improve reporting efficiency.
  • Leverage data analytics and AI-assisted insights to identify recurring defect patterns, yield excursions, and potential process risks.
  • Support digital manufacturing initiatives through automated dashboards and data visualization for QDR monitoring and management reviews.
  • Use AI and statistical tools to perform anomaly detection and assist in early identification of quality deviations.
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to validate defect classifications generated by automated vision inspection or machine-learning systems.
  • Apply basic prompt engineering and GenAI tools to improve documentation quality, root cause analysis summaries, and corrective action tracking.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and foundational AI-assisted productivity tools to drive operational excellence.

Preferred AI Qualification (Optional)
  • Exposure to Generative AI tools (Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or equivalent).
  • Basic understanding of data analytics, automation, and AI applications in manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0, Smart Factory, or digital transformation concepts is an added advantage.
