Position Overview:
The Post Closing Analyst is responsible for researching and documenting the loan activity cycle from delivery through purchase. This role completes internal audit reports for suspended loans by investigating loan deficiencies and providing findings to share with the Post Closing and Post Purchase teams. The Post Closing Analyst collaborates in efforts to identify remedies and mitigate trends while performing continuous auditing and remediation plan validations as assigned.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage a pipeline that contains loans that are to be audited daily; Meet the required minimum of audited files to be completed daily.
Participate in internal audits by executing assigned tasks in accordance with the Departments methodology and professional standards.
Complete work within the established timeframes with guidance from the Manager.
Confirm the validity of fees charged and allocate costs to the proper departments.
Conduct effective root cause analysis of identified findings.
Review and analyze loan history and milestone timelines within the LOS systems.
Accurately document completed work, including findings, in clear and concise fashion in accordance with the Post Closing department’s methodology.
Oversee the PA Reconciliation shared mailbox and provide updates to the secondary partners on any purchase advise reconciliation inquiries.
Log all curtailed and aged loans into the AMPED system.
Actively participate in meetings with Post Closing management and provide updates on the respective areas of review.
Learn and understand how to effectively incorporate data analytics.
Actively seek out knowledge in the areas of assigned audit activities.
Support innovative ideas, new technologies and improved methods.
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent.
1+ year of experience in loan processing or mortgage auditing, preferred.
Encompass experience, preferred.
Familiarity with mortgage loan processes.
Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
Skill in working independently with advanced decision-making skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Pay Range:
Hourly Rate: $24.03 - $31.25
The posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
