Platform Support Engineer

We are seeking a Platform Support Engineer to join our Engineering Support team. As a high-tech provider of on-demand healthcare staffing, IntelyCare relies on our robust software platform. If you are a motivated troubleshooter and a born diagnostician, this may be a perfect job for you.  

*This is a hybrid position based out of our corporate office in Quincy, MA. Remote candidates will not be considered for this position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the progression of IntelyCare software platform concerns, whether they are bugs, enhancements, or user experience issues, from initial report to validation in production 
  • Monitor all work through development, QA, and deployment, followed by validation of the results in production 
  • Collaborate with business leaders, developers, and QA engineers to troubleshoot and scope issues 
  • Develop basic SQL queries to diagnose issues and run various tasks 
  • Createand run maintenance APIs to address ongoing concerns 
  • Use your creative skills to assess the impact of any issue and which customers are affected by it.  This will require database queries and various analytics that you figure out 
  • Act as the owner of the issue and will diagnose it and figure out its scope and impact 
  • Keep an active working knowledge of past and current issues – and be alert for potential future issues within the platform – and make sure other teams in the company are kept informed 
  • Keep business and management apprised of status and any roadblocks 

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Data Science or equivalent professional experience 
  • A growth mindset - you can overcome any challenge with effort and practice
  • A basic working knowledge of databases and SQL queries
  • Software coding experience, so that you can examine code in a variety of languages (Java, python, PHP) and have a reasonable understanding of what is going on
  • Good written and verbal communications skills
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle
  • Experience with Excel
  • Familiarity with popular software tools, such as Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Confluence, Zendesk, Jira
  • Familiarity with platforms such as iOS, Android, and AWS
  • Some understanding of the Agile methodology
