POSITION DESCRIPTION: Takeda Pharmaceuticals America, Inc. is seeking a Platform Engineer with the following duties: Build and maintain platform capabilities using selected products and services to enhance manufacturing efficiency and data quality; Design and develop core infrastructure components such as networking, storage, and compute resources to support platform functionality; Write and support code for user authentication, database management, and infrastructure as code to ensure scalability; Collaborate with application and product development teams to optimize platform performance for application workloads; Develop and maintain a full stack developer platform, offering standardized and reusable tools and services for engineering teams; Implement Quality by Design principles to ensure platform reliability, availability, and security; Enable data analytics capabilities, including real-time and predictive analytics, in a GxP environment; Drive technical issue identification and problem-solving, escalating as necessary to ensure timely resolution; Ensure adherence to company policies and documentation standards in alignment with Takeda Quality Management Systems; Support the DevOps strategy to create a self-service platform with automated infrastructure and operations, enhancing developer experience; Define and measure quality aspects of the platform, setting appropriate targets in collaboration with platform management and SRE teams; up to 10% international and domestic travel required; up to 60% remote work allowed.
REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Analytics or related field plus 5 years of related experience. Prior experience must include: Enable data analytics capabilities, including real-time and predictive analytics, in a GxP environment; Collaborate with application and product development teams to optimize platform performance for application workloads; Drive technical issue identification and problem-solving, root cause analysis as necessary to ensure timely resolution; Design and develop core infrastructure components such as networking, database storage, and compute resources to support platform functionality; Implement Quality by Design principles to ensure application reliability, availability and security.
Full time. $150,000 - $220,600 per year. Competitive compensation and benefits.
