About the role 

The Plant Manager is accountable for leading all operations in our West Bridgewater head quarters, which produces a high volume of small-run custom products. This is a highly hands-on, floor-based leadership role for an executor who leads from the front, drives performance daily, and works side by side with the team to remove barriers, solve problems, and deliver results. Deep knowledge of CNC machining processes is essential, as more than 90% of products flow through the CNC departments. The successful candidate will build a culture of accountability, safety, and operational discipline while coaching and developing a strong team. This leader will champion and implement lean manufacturing principles, drive continuous improvement, and improve productivity, on-time delivery, quality, and growth in a non-union environment. 


What you’ll do 

  •  Own performance against key monthly operating targets, including (Revenue, On-time production, productivity, EBITA) 
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives and apply operational best practices across the plant. 
  • Maintain a safety-first culture through training, standard work, employee awareness, and compliance with OSHA and company requirements. 
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members through regular feedback, performance management, and development planning to strengthen capability, productivity, and engagement. 
  • Assess training needs and initiate or approve programs that elevate technical capability and overall skill levels. 
  • Manage shop floor workload to balance capacity, prevent bottlenecks, and authorize overtime as needed to meet customer commitments. 
  • Strengthen quality assurance efforts to eliminate recurring issues and drive root cause analysis and corrective action. 
  • Partner effectively with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to support business objectives. 
  • Partner with Human Resources to support recruiting, hiring, training, succession planning, and career development strategies. 

Requirements


About you 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a plus, however direct industry years of experience may be considered in lieu of education 
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a CNC job shop manufacturing environment in a leadership role 
  • Demonstrated Leadership ability 
  • Strong planning, organizational and project management skills 
  • Must possess clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the corporation 
  • Proficient in the use of ERP software such as Info Visual, Infor Syteline, Epicor Vantage, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP 
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office  
  • Ability to understand, analyze and act on financial data such as budgets 
  • Ability to create and manage metrics and key performance indicators 
  • Knowledge, background, and certification in six sigma and lean methodologies, principals, and concepts preferred
