Job Description
Planning Manager
The main objective of the Planning Manager role is to accurately forecast and manage the demand and supply for the company's products. This involves analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and other relevant factors to predict future demand and ensure that the organization has the right products in the right quantities at the right time. The role is a key partner for the commercial teams to ensure that they are focusing on the correct building blocks to growth volume according to company strategy.
Key Accountabilities
Team Leadership: Lead and develop a high-performing demand and supply planning team. Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture. Able to handle a team spread across various locations.
Demand Forecast Cycle: lead the Kraft Heinz
Demand Forecast Cycle collaborating with cross-functional teams, such as sales, marketing, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and accurate forecasting. Considering statistical data analysis and clear growth building blocks, define the monthly demand FSCT for the next 18-24 months.
Demand Planning Strategy: Develop and implement demand planning strategies and processes that align with the organization's goals and objectives. Establish policies and procedures to execute tactical planning (ITP) and business planning (IBP) following company's standards defined on KHC Management System Log.Os.
Supply Planning Strategy: Develop and implement supply planning strategies and processes that align with the organization's goals and objectives. Establish policies and procedures to optimize inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and reduce excess inventory. Following company's standards defined on KHC Management System.
Collaborative Forecasting: Engage with commercial teams and customers to align and build together their demand forecasts based on sell-in, sell-out, days on hand data, etc. Build strong relationships with key customers and collaborate with them on demand planning routines, building blocks definition, and growth initiatives.
Inventory Optimization: Analyze demand patterns, lead times, and production capacity to determine optimal inventory levels for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Implement inventory control measures to avoid stockouts and overstocks.
Supplier Collaboration: Engage with suppliers to align their production and delivery capabilities with demand forecasts. Build strong relationships with key suppliers and procurement to collaborate on supply planning, lead time reduction, and quality improvement initiatives.
Production and Materials Planning: Lead the scheduling, production and materials teams to ensure the right service level for the customer is achieved. Optimizing the efficiency of the factory and ensuring the raw materials availability for the production plan.
Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure planning effectiveness. Monitor KPIs regularly, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions. Proactively monitor market trends, supplier performance, and external factors that may impact the supply planning process.
Waste Management: Identify potential supply chain losses risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate impacts. Proactively monitor sales trends, inventory health, and external factors that may impact on the supply chain losses.
Knowledge & Experience desired:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, business administration, or a related field.
Fluent English and Spanish
+5 years in supply planning, demand forecasting, or related roles within the supply chain field.
+3 years of experience leading teams
Experience in SAP, Demand Forecasting Tools, MRP, MPS and ITP/IBP processes.
