In the dynamic landscape of financial services, the Planning and Analysis Stress Testing VP plays a pivotal role in ensuring the resilience and robustness of the organization's financial strategies. This leadership position demands a visionary approach to stress testing, leveraging analytical expertise to anticipate challenges and drive informed decision-making for sustainable growth.
As a Planning & Analysis Stress Test Vice President within the Commercial & Investment Bank (CIB) Capital Stress Testing team, you will contribute to the development of standards for capital stress testing across CIB. You will support ongoing stress testing activities, including the annual CCAR submission and quarterly risk appetite exercises. You will partner with colleagues in Corporate Capital Stress Testing, Risk functions, and line of business areas. This role provides an opportunity to take ownership of tasks, work independently, and contribute to a broader team in a fast-paced and results-promoting environment.
Job responsibilities

  • Prepare of executive presentation materials for CFO, CRO, and/or CEO
  • Contribute key in the development and implementation of standards for capital stress testing
  • Perform needed execution steps to load financial projections for multiple economic scenarios to our local Essbase cubes
  • Maintain methodology narratives and standard operating procedures as needed
  • Document new and existing estimation methodologies and build out/automation of tools
  • Lead ad-hoc analytical requests from senior management, other functions, and regulatory agencies as necessary


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • 6+ years of corporate finance experience in banking
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel & PowerPoint in particular)
  • Working knowledge of Income Statement and Balance Sheet with familiarity of associated banking products or willingness to learn
  • The candidate must be a creative self-starter who is able to meet deadlines under pressure in a fast paced and results driven environment
  • A detail-oriented problem solver with proven ability to evaluate processes, controls, and issues to determine and assess risks
  • Confidence to take ownership of tasks, working independently and contributing to the broader team
