What would you do?

Position:  PKI Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL (hybrid, 3 days onsite per week)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced PKI Engineer to support the operations and engineering of our Certificate Authority infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years of hands-on PKI experience with strong knowledge of certificate lifecycle management, CA operations, and enterprise PKI environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain Certificate Authority infrastructure
  • Manage certificate issuance, renewal, revocation, and related PKI operations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve PKI and certificate-related issues
  • Ensure security, availability, and compliance of PKI systems
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams on certificate-related needs
  • Contribute to process improvements and documentation

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience as a PKI Engineer, preferably 5 to 10 years
  • Strong understanding of PKI, digital certificates, key management, CRL, and OCSP
  • Hands-on experience with Certificate Authority infrastructure
  • Strong troubleshooting and operational support skills
