This Managed Care Pharmacist Intern program is open to remote candidates nationwide, and the work schedule is full-time, 40 hours per week for 10 weeks from June 2, 2026 - August 7, 2026.
For your internship, you'll be placed within one of our pharmacy business lines to perform professional duties and responsibilities associated with the practice of pharmacy. Duties are designed to develop knowledge base and competency level while performing pharmacy functions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.

- Use, protect, and disclose patients' protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards

Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop executive summaries on pipeline drugs, including high-level talking points, place in therapy, recommended management, and overall impact to our business
- Perform competitive analysis of various drug coverage and utilization management
- Analyze regulatory changes for Medicare, Medicaid, and/or Affordable Care Act/Exchange plans to determine impact on drug management
- Interact with the National Pharmacy STARs team to assist in addressing gaps in care for Medicare Advantage Prescription Drug (MAPD) plan beneficiaries

Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Doctor of Pharmacy program, with first year completed before start of internship
- Active Licensure as a pharmacist intern or equivalent in state of employment
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA
- Completion of at least one Therapeutics Course
- Knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology
- Proven solid oral and written communication skills
- Proven adequate mathematical, analytical, and critical thinking skills
