The PL New Business Placement Specialist is responsible for securing the most appropriate and competitive insurance products for clients by working closely with clients, producers, underwriters and carriers.  This role requires a deep understanding of personal insurance products, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to assess client needs to ensure proper coverage.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Analyze client risk profiles and coverage needs.
  • Market and place personal lines insurance policies ( home, auto, umbrella, etc.) with appropriate carriers.
  • Review and evaluate quotes from multiple carriers to determine the best coverage and pricing.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with insurance carriers and underwriters.
  • Collaborate with account managers and producers to understand client requirements and timelines.
  • Ensure all placements meet regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records in agency management system (EPIC)
  • Assist with renewals and remarketing of Key Agency account as needed.
  • Attend monthly sales and Personal Lines meetings.
  • Stay current on market trends, carrier appetite, and underwriting guidelines.

 

Qualifications: The right candidate will possess 3+ years of experience in personal insurance placement or underwriting, strong sales and communication skills, a positive attitude, be highly organized, work well with peers and sales staff, and be able to create and manage deadlines.

 

Preferred Skills:  Experience with comparative rater system (SinglePoint), Microsoft Office, Outlook, Applied EPIC experience preferred but not required.  Customer focused mindset with attention to detail.

Compensation: Negotiated salary commensurate with experience plus commissions (TBD)
