Role Overview
The Personal Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing a book of personal lines business — including auto, home, umbrella, and related products. You will serve as the primary point of contact for your clients, handle renewals and endorsements, identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities, and actively develop new business to meet monthly revenue targets.

This role carries a clear, achievable new business production goal designed to reward initiative and consistent effort.
Monthly Revenue Target: $3,000
New business premium revenue per month
Your Monthly Earning Potential: $600+
You earn 20% of all new business you write
New business compensation is paid as a commission on top of your base salary, creating a direct link between your production and your earnings. There is no cap — the more you write, the more you earn.

Key Responsibilities
Book of Business Management
Serve as the primary service contact for personal lines clients
Conduct proactive renewal reviews — especially with top-tier clients — to ensure adequate coverage and identify gaps
Process endorsements, coverage changes, cancellations, and reinstatements accurately and promptly
Respond to client inquiries in a timely, professional manner and resolve issues with carriers
Maintain accurate, up-to-date client records in the agency management system
New Business Development
Convert inbound leads from agency marketing channels into bound policies
Proactively reach out to the existing commercial lines client base to introduce and quote personal lines products
Implement a structured referral process to cultivate new prospects from your satisfied client base
Partner with producers and other team members to identify cross-sell opportunities across the agency
Client Retention & Relationship Management
Build long-term relationships that drive loyalty, referrals, and multi-policy households
Proactively communicate with clients ahead of renewals to review their needs and prevent unexpected lapses
Educate clients on coverage options, policy changes, and the value of working with an independent agency
Qualifications
Active Property & Casualty license required
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in personal lines insurance, preferably at an independent agency
Familiarity with agency management systems (e.g., Applied Epic, HawkSoft, AMS360, or similar)
Experience with comparative raters and national quoting platforms
Strong knowledge of personal auto, homeowners, umbrella, and related products
Insurance designations (CISR, CPCU, CIC) are a plus
