We are seeking a full-time Performance Marketing Manager to support the execution, optimization, and reporting of paid social campaigns for a diverse portfolio of advertising and content partners, as well as broader marketing efforts across the business. This role is responsible for ensuring sponsored campaigns are launched accurately, optimized throughout their flight, and delivered successfully to meet client objectives, while also driving member acquisition for Outside+, newsletter subscriber growth, and general content promotion.

This role will be on the Audience Development team, but will partner closely with the Ad Sales, Growth Marketing, Account Management, Creative, Ad Operations, and Custom Content teams.  The Performance Marketing Manager  will coordinate campaign assets, monitor performance, and provide actionable reporting and recommendations. Beyond advertiser campaigns, this role will apply a data-driven and ROI focused approach to ensure member acquisition, newsletter growth, and content promotion campaigns consistently deliver a positive return on marketing spend at scale. This role will also support the scheduling and execution of select sponsored and collaborative organic social posts that fulfill custom content, editorial and experiential partnership deliverables.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing paid social campaigns across Meta and other major social platforms. They are proficient with AI tools and very data-driven, comfortable building and applying ROI models to guide spend decisions. They are a tinkerer and an optimizer, always looking for ways to do things faster and more intelligently.  They thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy working across multiple stakeholders, and have a strong understanding of social advertising best practices and campaign performance.


Key Responsibilities
  • Build, launch, and manage paid social campaigns across Meta, Tik Tok, YouTube, and other social advertising platforms.
  • Support member acquisition campaigns aimed at driving new subscribers to Outside+ products.
  • Drive newsletter subscriber acquisition efforts across paid channels.
  • Support general content promotion efforts, building and applying ROI models to ensure campaigns consistently deliver profitable audience.
  • Coordinate campaign assets, targeting requirements, timelines, and deliverables with Client Services, Creative, Ad Operations, and Sales teams.
  • Perform quality assurance on creative assets, tracking, links, and campaign setup prior to launch.
  • Monitor campaign pacing, budgets, delivery, and performance throughout campaign flight dates.
  • Implement campaign optimizations to improve performance and ensure campaign KPIs are met.
  • Track campaign performance and communicate optimization opportunities or delivery concerns to internal stakeholders.
  • Produce post-campaign reporting, summarize key performance metrics, and provide actionable insights for clients and internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate campaign documentation and reporting throughout the campaign lifecycle.
  • Support the execution and scheduling of sponsored and collaborative organic social posts in partnership with the Audience Development and Custom Content teams.
  • Help ensure all paid social and sponsored social deliverables are fulfilled accurately and on schedule.
  • Stay informed on platform updates, advertising best practices, and emerging social media trends to recommend improvements to campaign execution.
Skills & Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience managing paid social campaigns for brands, publishers, agencies, or media organizations.
  • Hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager, TikTok, and Youtube required; experience with LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, Google or other paid platforms is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of paid campaign setup, audience targeting, budgeting, optimization, and reporting.
  • Experience managing sponsored content or advertiser-funded campaigns
  • Experience supporting subscription, membership, or newsletter acquisition campaigns is a plus.
  • Comfortable building and working with ROI models to evaluate and ensure positive return on marketing spend.
  • Familiarity with analytics and reporting platforms such as Sprout Social, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, or similar reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate campaign data into actionable recommendations and to bring a data-driven approach to campaign strategy, optimization, and reporting.
  • Proficient with AI tools and comfortable exploring how to use AI to streamline workflows
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with experience working across sales, creative, editorial, account management, and operations teams.
  • Passion for digital media, social platforms, and the active outdoor lifestyle is a plus.

What We Offer:

Entirely remote jobs that could be performed in Colorado: Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $65,000 to $80,000.  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, Flexible Time Away,  sick leave, and more.  This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors
