About the Role

We are looking for a data-driven Performance Marketing Growth Lead to architect our global paid acquisition engine as we scale to our next growth milestone.

This role goes beyond campaign management. You will own the full-funnel paid growth strategy, leveraging automation, AI-driven optimization, and advanced attribution to drive qualified pipeline and efficient CAC across global markets.

You will manage significant budgets across Search, Paid Social, and emerging AI-powered ad ecosystems, working closely with Sales, Regional Marketing, Brand, and RevOps to ensure paid media directly contributes to revenue growth.

What You Will Own (The Outcomes)1. Revenue-Backed Paid Strategy
  • Deploy significant capital across Google, Meta, LinkedIn, and emerging AI ecosystems.
  • Every campaign must have a clear revenue logic, target pipeline metric, and payback period. If the math doesn't work, you don't launch it.
  • Evolve the channel mix aggressively based on marginal CAC and incremental lift, breaking our reliance on single channels.
2. End-to-End Funnel Ownership
  • Own the system, not just the entry point: Channel → Activation → Pipeline → Revenue.
  • Design campaigns across the entire buyer journey. Partner directly with Sales and RevOps to ensure the leads you generate actually convert to ARR.
  • Target higher-value, AI-ready segments (Mid-Market/Enterprise) that drive higher ACV and expansion.
3. AI-Native Experimentation Engine
  • We sell AI. We must operate with AI. You will build a high-velocity experimentation engine using AI-assisted creative iteration (copy, hooks, localization).
  • Move fast with accountability: Launch quickly, iterate weekly, kill quickly if it doesn't work, and scale aggressively if it does.
4. Data Clarity & Ruthless Attribution
  • Partner with Analytics to build a robust attribution framework (GA4, HubSpot, Ad Platforms).
  • Provide simple, sharp visibility on: Channel → Revenue conversion, CAC by region/segment, Cohort performance, and Payback periods.
  • Do not hide behind dashboards. Know exactly what drives revenue and double down on it.
5. High-Ownership Team Leadership
  • Hire, mentor, and scale a small, high-accountability team of performance specialists.
  • Set the bar: We are building category shapers, not task executors. If an initiative cannot connect clearly to pipeline or revenue, you kill it.
What "Great" Looks Like in This Role
  • You are a Funnel Mathematician: You understand CAC, LTV, payback periods, and incrementality better than anyone else in the room.
  • You are AI-Native: You use AI not just for copywriting, but for predictive audience modeling, smart bidding manipulation, and scaling campaign creation.
  • You operate without heavy supervision: You don't bring vague questions; you bring 2-3 structured options, revenue impact estimates, and a recommendation.

Requirements
  • Proven Revenue Builder: Demonstrated track record of managing large B2B SaaS paid budgets where success was measured by closed-won ARR, not MQLs or traffic.
  • Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Meta, and automation-driven campaign management (smart bidding, conversion APIs).
  • Data Fluency: Exceptional analytical capability across GA4, HubSpot, and direct ad platforms. You can build and defend a cohort analysis.
  • Speed & Execution: Experience building structured, high-velocity experimentation and testing programs.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead a high-performance team with weekly review loops and strict decision deadlines.
What Will Make You Fail Here
  • Focusing on vanity metrics (Traffic, Clicks, CPL) disconnected from ARR targets.
  • Endless planning without rapid execution.
  • Heavy manual processes that should be automated with AI.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
