OUR MISSION

Imagine building a better healthcare journey for patients with cancer, where individuals and their loved ones feel seen, supported, and heard by their care team – both in and out of the clinic. Where fast access to high-quality care is the norm, not the exception. Where patients have access to a care navigator to guide them through their diagnosis and trusted support all along the way.

At Thyme Care, we share a passion for transforming the cancer care experience – not just for patients but also for their caregivers and loved ones, as well as those delivering and paying for their care. Today, Thyme Care is known predominantly as a cancer care navigation company enabling value-based cancer care; in the next few years, we will become a nationally recognized technology-driven and provider-centric care delivery model, reshaping the landscape of cancer care access, delivery, and experience. Our commitment runs deep—we're not satisfied with the status quo but determined to redefine it.

To make this happen, we’re building a diverse team of problem solvers and critical thinkers to drive innovation and shape the future of healthcare. If you share our vision and want to be part of something truly meaningful, we want to hear from you. Together, we can revolutionize cancer care and make a difference that lasts a lifetime.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a People Programs Manager, you will be an integral member of the People team, supporting a growing and mission-driven organization. You will:

  • Drive execution, and continuous improvement of core People programs, including performance reviews, engagement surveys, open enrollment, and onboarding.
  • Lead the evolution of Thyme Care’s onboarding programming, ensuring it is clear, compliant, and rooted in empathy, while continuously optimizing for scale and impact.
  • Manage logistics and execution for learning and development initiatives, including partnering with external training vendors.
  • Work with People leadership to iterate on existing career ladders and plan for overall employee growth and career development.
  • Build and facilitate Open Enrollment programming (in collaboration with the Sr. Manager of People Ops), including creating content, communications planning, and cross-functional project management.
  • Be a go-to resource for employees and managers navigating Thyme Care People programs, responding to questions, shaping process improvements based on feedback, and escalating more complex issues as needed.
  • Track, analyze and report on engagement, performance, and feedback data from People programs to generate insights and inform future improvements.
  • Contribute to People team strategy including roadmap planning, ensuring programs evolve to meet the needs of a growing organization.
  • Partner with leadership to proactively identify opportunities to strengthen culture, communication, and performance enablement.
  • Create and maintain scalable, employee-facing resources that support program transparency, clarity, and ease of use.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure a smooth and cohesive employee experience across touchpoints.

WHAT YOU’VE DONE

  • 4-6 years of experience supporting and running People team programs, ideally within a start-up or other fast-paced environment.
  • Managed impactful, company-wide cross-functional projects, communicating clearly with a range of stakeholders.
  • Built clear documentation and processes that improve employee experience and internal efficiency.
  • Created People programs from scratch as well as iterated on existing programming to improve clarity and enhance impact.
  • Shown excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage and optimize programs and processes effectively.
  • Approached People work with empathy, confidentiality, and a strong sense of trust and integrity.

WHAT LEADS TO SUCCESS

Act with our members in mind. You understand the importance of a smooth employee experience to support our larger mission of improving cancer care for our members.

Move with purpose. You’re biased to action, proactive, and highly organized. You know how to effectively prioritize and do what it takes to ensure that employees are supported across a variety of People programs.

Strong, clear communication. You communicate People programs with clarity and care, ensuring employees know what to expect, why it matters, and how to participate. You’re skilled at translating complex processes into accessible, action-oriented messaging, and you anticipate questions before they’re asked.

Comfort with ambiguity. You thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments where change is frequent and flexibility is critical.

Problem-solving mindset. You’ve shown a proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new systems or tools. You can identify program or process blockers and work to resolve them with a positive mindset.

OUR VALUES

At Thyme Care, our core values guide us in everything we do: Act with our members in mind, Move with purpose, and Seek diverse perspectives. They anchor our business decisions, including how we grow, the products we make, and the paths we choose—or don’t choose.

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes equity, benefits, and other opportunities at Thyme Care. Individual pay decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to other Thyme Care employees. The base salary for this role is $140,000-155,000. The salary range could be lower or higher than this if the role is hired at another level.

We recognize a history of inequality in healthcare. We’re here to challenge the status quo and create a culture of inclusion through the care we give and the company we build. We embrace and celebrate a diversity of perspectives in reflection of our members and the members we serve. We are an equal-opportunity employer.

Be cautious of recruitment fraud, and always confirm that communications are coming from an official Thyme Care email.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
