A successful Payroll Implementation Specialist at Wurk participates in all stages of the implementation lifecycle (discovery, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support) under the direction of the Project Manager and may lead one or more activities. Project responsibilities include gathering customer requirements, configuring the UKG Ready solution to meet documented customer requirements, setting and managing customer expectations, and identifying risks and communicating issues to the Project Manager. This person will be responsible for the ultimate success and integrity of the new client’s Payroll Module implementation, their Payroll History load and balancing, and establishing a great working relationship with our client contacts and internal teams. The Payroll Implementation Specialist should be experienced in U.S. payroll regulations. Experience in Canadian payroll regulations is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all client meetings, providing expertise in the UKG Payroll Module.
- Conduct Payroll Discovery session with clients to understand and document client’s payroll configuration requirements.
- Configure the UKG Payroll Module to accommodate all client requirements.
- Configure 401k integrations for new clients and add-ons for existing clients and provide client training on such as required.
- Convert client’s employee data and payroll history into UKG import templates and import.
- Ensure accuracy of client’s payroll history through balancing all historical wages and taxes.
- Conduct client trainings for System Overview, Reports & Dashboards and Payroll Processing.
- Provide support throughout the implementation process to clients and team members for payroll related items.
- Update all project materials to track completion of tasks and ensure all project documentation is in shared folders for the purposes of information retention and quality assurance.
- Be a Subject Matter Expert for specific PR configuration areas for both internal and external users
- Work with customers to implement Würk best practices in preparation for the rollout of the Würk solution
- Other duties as assigned
- 2-year degree or equivalent industry experience
- FPC or CPP certified, preferred
- At least two years of experience implementing UKG Workforce Ready, with expertise in the Payroll module
- Knowledge of federal, state/province, and local employer tax laws and regulations for the United States is required and strongly preferred for Canada
- Understanding of state/province overtime, sick time and wage laws
- At least 2 years of experience implementing HCM products in a multi-tenant solution
Required Skill Sets and Experience
- Must have experience with Workforce Management (WFM) systems to be considered, preferably UKG Ready
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including strong familiarity with Excel required.
- A strong sense of urgency and a proven ability to manage multiple projects at once
- Personable and able to maintain a positive working relationship with clients and team members
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Customer relationship acumen and experience required.
- Excellent organization and collaboration skills
- Ability to lead and facilitate customer trainings.

This position's approximate base salary range is $65,000-$85,000 based on candidate's experience, education, and geographic location.
