Position Summary
The Payments Sales Manager is responsible for driving adoption of Cyncly's embedded payments solutions across existing software customers. This role will focus on identifying opportunities within Cyncly's customer portfolio, engaging decision-makers, and converting software clients into payments customers.
The ideal candidate is a proven sales professional with a strong background in payments, merchant services, fintech, or integrated payments. They possess a hunter mentality, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are motivated by uncapped earning potential. This individual will work cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Product, Marketing, Operations, and other Lines of Business to increase payments penetration and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Growth & Business Development
- Drive adoption of Cyncly's embedded payment solutions across the existing software customer base.
- Identify, qualify, and close new payment processing opportunities through both inbound and outbound sales efforts.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of payment opportunities within assigned territories and customer segments.
- Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer payment workflows, pain points, and business objectives.
- Present and demonstrate the value of Cyncly's payment solutions, including credit card processing, ACH, surcharging, virtual terminal capabilities, and related payment products.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Customer Engagement
- Develop relationships with business owners, finance leaders, operations teams, and executive stakeholders.
- Educate customers on the operational, financial, and workflow benefits of adopting integrated payment solutions.
- Guide customers through the sales process from prospecting through implementation handoff.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Customer Success, Account Management, Product, Marketing, and other business units to identify payment opportunities and increase customer adoption.
- Collaborate with implementation and onboarding teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Provide customer feedback and market intelligence to help shape future payments product enhancements.
Market Expertise
- Stay current on industry trends, payment technologies, regulations, and competitive offerings.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers regarding payment acceptance, processing optimization, and payment best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of successful B2B sales experience with a demonstrated track record of exceeding quotas.
- 2+ years of experience in payments, merchant services, fintech, embedded payments, or payment processing.
- Strong understanding of payment acceptance solutions, including credit card processing, ACH, virtual terminals, integrated payments, and payment workflows.
- Proven hunter mentality with experience prospecting, generating pipeline, and closing new business.
- Excellent consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both business owners and executive stakeholders.
- Experience managing a sales pipeline using CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and results-driven.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling integrated payments within SaaS, ERP, ISV, or vertical software environments.
- Experience selling into retail, distribution, manufacturing, or specialty trade industries.
- Familiarity with payment economics, interchange, surcharging, and merchant acquiring.
- Experience working within a matrixed organization and collaborating across multiple business units.

In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, we are committed to providing clear and equitable compensation information. For this remote position, the expected salary range is $61,000 - $65,000 USD, depending on location, experience, and qualifications. This role may also be eligible for additional compensation such as bonuses, commissions, or equity, as well as a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates applying from jurisdictions with specific pay disclosure requirements (e.g., California, Colorado, New York, Washington, Illinois, British Columbia) will receive location-specific compensation details in compliance with local laws.
