Build to Protect Civilization

TRM is a blockchain intelligence company that’s on a mission to build a safer financial system for billions of people. We’re a lean, high-impact team tackling some of the world’s most critical challenges, ranging from human trafficking and financial fraud to terrorist financing. We are builders who power governments, financial institutions, and crypto companies when the clock is running and the consequences are real. This is why every TRMer is a bet on our future and has the power to change our trajectory.

About the Position

We are seeking a Partnerships Operations Associate to support and scale TRM’s private sector partnerships, with an initial focus on Orion partners. This role sits at the intersection of partner operations, data accuracy, and go-to-market enablement—ensuring partners are onboarded efficiently, supported with high-quality data and reporting, and managed with strong commercial and operational hygiene.

You’ll work closely with Partnerships leadership, Product, Finance, and GTM teams to ensure partner data, reporting, and contracts are accurate, timely, and scalable. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytically strong, and comfortable operating as a force multiplier for senior partnerships leaders.

The impact you will have:

  • Own the accuracy and completeness of partner data, including commercial terms, API usage, and reporting cadence.
  • Produce and deliver regular partner usage reports, proactively resolving discrepancies and ensuring a high bar for data quality.
  • Support management of existing partner contracts, including usage validation, invoice reconciliation, and coordination with Finance.
  • Enable partner trust and retention through reliable reporting, early risk identification, and consistent operational follow-through.
  • Reduce operational burden on senior partnerships leaders by streamlining reporting, admin, and GTM support work.
  • Surface structured partner feedback and usage insights to Product and Engineering to inform roadmap and improvements.
  • Help build and refine standardized onboarding, reporting, and operational playbooks to support partner scale.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in a partner operations, customer operations, revenue operations, or OEM support role, ideally in SaaS or data-driven environments.
  • Strong comfort working with usage data, reporting, and metrics, with a high bar for accuracy and clarity.
  • Familiarity with commercial workflows such as contracts, invoicing, renewals, or SLAs (hands-on negotiation not required).
  • Proven ability to manage processes end-to-end with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product and GTM teams in fast-moving environments.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication suitable for partner-facing interactions.
  • High ownership, bias for action, and comfort operating in ambiguity while building structure.

About the Team:

This role sits within the Strategic Initiatives team, reporting directly to our CEO. The team is lean, senior, and high trust—characterized by rapid iteration, high agency, and sharp commercial instincts. We work async by default, but rely on crisp documentation and Slack-based collaboration across time zones.

You’ll partner frequently with GTM, Product, Engineering, and Legal/Risk. Most teammates maintain at least a 4-hour overlap with PST hours, though working hours are otherwise flexible. We prioritize structured thinking, clarity in communication, and a strong bias toward velocity and ownership.

Learn about TRM Speed in this position:

  • Accelerate partner reporting: Complete the first end-to-end usage reporting cycle for at least one priority partner within 30 days.
  • Establish scalable operating artifacts: Deliver a standard partner usage report within 21 days, a QBR template within 30 days, and a partner health scoring framework within 60 days.
  • Enable exec-ready visibility: Produce five executive-ready partner summaries for a priority partner by Day 90, with the ability to deliver an on-demand partner snapshot within 48 hours and maintain a monthly “top 5 partners” view.

Life at TRM

We build to protect civilization. That promise shows up in how we work every day.

TRM runs fast. Really fast. We’re a high-velocity team that expects ownership, clarity, and follow-through. People who thrive here are inspired by hard problems, experimentation, direct feedback. If it takes months elsewhere, it often ships here in days. If you are optimizing primarily for consistent work-life balance, use the interview process to pressure-test fit. We want teammates who thrive here, not just survive here.

We coach directly, assume positive intent, and play for the front of the jersey.

Leadership Principles
  • Impact-Oriented Trailblazer: We put customers first, driving for speed, focus, and adaptability.
  • Master Craftsperson: We prioritize speed, high standards, and distributed ownership.
  • Inspiring Colleague: We value humility, candor, and a one-team mindset.

What You’ll Do Here

This work has teeth. At TRM, your week might include:

  • Driving critical investigations that can’t wait for typical business hours.
  • Shipping products in days when others would schedule quarters.
  • Partnering with teams across time zones to deliver insights while the story is still unfolding.
  • Building new solutions from first principles when the playbook doesn’t yet exist.
  • Protecting victims and customers by tracing illicit activity and disrupting criminal networks.
Join our Mission

We look for people who want their work to matter, who build with speed and rigor, and who take pride in protecting others through their craft. If you’re excited by TRM’s mission but don’t check every box, apply anyway. We hire for slope, judgment, and the will to learn fast.

Build to protect civilization. Let’s do it together.

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)

  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
