We are looking for a Senior Partnerships Development Manager to lead our efforts in identifying, engaging, and scaling high-impact partnerships that drive revenue. This is a strategic, high-visibility role where you’ll work cross-functionally to define partnership models, explore whitespace opportunities, and engage with some of the most exciting companies in the tech landscape.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, has an entrepreneurial mindset, and is excited to be at the forefront of shaping Supabase’s market-facing strategy.

What You’ll Own:
  • Define and lead the strategic roadmap for partnerships and market development aligned with Supabase’s growth objectives.

  • Identify and evaluate high-potential companies and technology partners—particularly those in the open-source, developer tools and startup ecosystems.

  • Build and nurture revenue-generating partnerships, including affiliate programs and marketplace integrations.

  • Craft and negotiate partnership models and terms that drive competitive differentiation and long-term value creation.

  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and GTM teams to launch partner initiatives that increase customer adoption and engagement.

  • Drive ongoing market analysis to surface new partnership opportunities and derisk strategic bets.

  • Act as a thought leader internally and externally—representing Supabase in conversations with founders, VCs, and emerging tech leaders.

Who You Are:
  • 10+ years of experience in startup business development, strategic partnerships, corporate development, or venture capital.

  • MBA or equivalent entrepreneurial/operator experience is strongly preferred.

  • Deep understanding of the startup and developer ecosystems; familiarity with open-source business models and cloud infrastructure is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to define strategy and execute with a high degree of autonomy.

  • Experience designing and negotiating revenue-generating partnerships with a strong analytical foundation.

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to engage with executive stakeholders and represent the company externally.

  • Naturally curious, proactive, and energized by exploring new opportunities and building from zero-to-one.

  • California, or west coast preferred.

Why This Role is Different:
  • Chart Your Own Path: We’re at the cutting edge of open-source tech—this role offers the opportunity to define and execute a partnership strategy that shapes the future of Supabase and the broader ecosystem.

  • High-Impact & High-Visibility: Your work will directly drive revenue and influence how Supabase shows up in the market.

  • Engage with the Next Generation: Work closely with startup founders, developer-first companies, and technical leaders who are building what’s next.

  • Remote & Global: Work from anywhere in the world with a team that values autonomy, trust, and flexibility.

We Offer:
  • 100% remote work

  • Autonomy to own your roadmap and execution.

  • Comprehensive health, vision, and dental coverage.

  • Generous tech and education allowances to support your growth.

  • Annual off-sites with the global Supabase team.

About the team
  • We're a startup. It's unstructured.

  • Collectively founded more than 30 startups.

  • Globally distributed team with more than 30 different nationalities.

  • We deeply believe in the efficacy of collaborative open source. We support existing communities and tools, rather than building "yet another xx".

  • We "dogfood" everything. If you use it in your project, we use it in Supabase.

Process
  • The entire process is fully remote and all communication will happen over email or via video chat.

  • Once you've submitted your application, the team will review your submission and may reach out for a short screening interview over a video call.

  • If you pass the screen you will be invited to up to four follow-up interviews.

  • The calls:

    • usually take between 20-45 minutes each depending on the interviewer.

    • most of the time, are all 1:1.

    • will be with the founders, a member of either the growth or engineering team (depending on the role) and usually one other person from your immediate team or function.

  • Once the interviews are over, the team will meet to discuss several roles and candidates and may:

    • ask one or two follow-up questions over email or a quick call.

    • go directly to making an offer.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
