The Opportunity

We're seeking an exceptional Partnership Sales Manager to drive revenue growth and forge transformative partnerships within the commodity and energy sector. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned sales leader who understands the critical intersection of weather data, climate intelligence, and business risk mitigation.

As a key member of our commercial team, you'll work alongside executive leadership and cross-functional teams to expand Climavision's footprint in high-value market platforms. This role requires someone who can think strategically, execute tactically, and translate complex weather data solutions into tangible business outcomes for energy, utility, and commodity trading partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, cultivate, and close strategic partnerships that unlock new revenue streams and expand Climavision's market presence.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of high-value opportunities in energy and commodity trading sectors.
  • Develop long-term account strategies that position Climavision as an indispensable partner for weather-driven decision intelligence.
  • Own the complete sales cycle from initial prospecting through contract negotiation and closure.
  • Consistently meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Leverage consultative selling techniques to articulate the ROI of Climavision's proprietary weather data and analytics solutions.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of all activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in Salesforce.
  • Partner with Product and Marketing teams to refine positioning and commercialize new service offerings.
  • Provide market intelligence and customer insights that inform product development and strategic direction.
  • Adapt sales approach to capitalize on emerging opportunities across adjacent verticals as business priorities evolve.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer, channeling feedback to internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure seamless handoffs to account management and customer success teams.
  • Drive high customer satisfaction, retention, and expansion within your account portfolio.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of B2B sales experience, with a proven track record of closing complex, six-figure+ deals.
  • Deep expertise in energy markets or commodity trading sectors.
  • Demonstrated success selling data, analytics, SaaS, or technology solutions to enterprise platforms.
  • Consultative selling mastery with the ability to lead discovery, identify pain points, and architect solutions.
  • Strong business acumen with understanding of how weather and climate variables impact operational and financial outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
  • Self-starter mentality with the discipline to work independently and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Qualifications

  • Existing relationships within energy or commodity trading networks.
  • Experience with weather data, geospatial analytics, or climate intelligence solutions.
  • Background in risk management, forecasting, or decision support services.
  • Understanding of renewable energy markets and climate tech landscape.
  • MBA or relevant advanced degree.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • This is a full-time, exempt position. 
  • This job operates in a professional office environment or remotely. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc. 
  • Ability to travel 25%
  • Ability to re-prioritize when necessary .
  • Ability to independently manage priorities and take initiative on issues .
  • Strong work ethic and are flexible working extra hours when needed.
  • Ability to self-direct or self-motivate.

    Any offer of employment is contingent on completion of a background check to company standard.

    The salary range for this position is $78,000 – $135,000 base pay with a commission incentive plan. This range reflects a broad spectrum to account for varying costs of living across different geographic locations, as well as individual factors such as education, experience, relevant skills, and expertise. When extending an offer, Climavision carefully considers these factors, along with the responsibilities of the role, internal equity, and alignment with current market data.
