About the Role
The Partner Solutions Manager will lead the execution of strategic initiatives that enhance Aries’ offerings through external partnerships. This position is responsible for supporting the discovery, evaluation, and implementation of partner solutions, ensuring smooth integrations, and shaping product configurations that align with customer needs and business objectives. As both a solution champion and trusted advisor, the Manager will foster cross-functional collaboration, help optimize sales efficiency, and cultivate long-term, value-driven relationships with partners. 
 

Responsibilities 

Partner Management and Solutions Implementation  

  • Serving as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for key channel partners. Build and maintain a long-term strategic view of partnerships to ensure mutual alignment, sustained value, and competitive advantage while proactively mitigating risks and resolving conflicts to protect long-term value. 
  • Executing plans for implementing partner solutions to address gaps in the current offering and develop detailed timelines with milestones, deliverables, and sourcing strategies for key partners. 
  • Leading Quarterly and Annual Business Reviews (QBRs/ABRs) with partners to track performance, KPIs, and refine strategies. 
  • Managing technical and product validation processes for all Elsevier partnerships. 
  • Troubleshooting and optimizing partner solution integrations across departments and vendors, ensuring they remain flexible and vendor-agnostic. 
  • Balancing customization flexibility with operational simplicity to optimize efficiency by supporting product demos, supporting the sales cycle and solutions-based selling. Use sales forecasts and adoption milestones to refine product configurations. 
  • Establishing a feedback loop with Sales, Client Services, and customers to adjust configurations for adoption and upselling.

Market & Customer Research 

  • Collecting and leveraging market, customer, and partner research to inform partner/product strategy and decisions, serving as the ‘voice of innovation’ by representing market trends, partner insights, and customer needs. 
  • Performing annual competitive analyses of peer review and workflow management systems in collaboration with Sales, Client Services, and Marketing. 

Go-to-Market & Communication 

  • Supporting the implementation of solution packages and tiers (e.g., Basic, Pro, Enterprise) based on customer needs, competitive positioning, and revenue goals. 
  • Collaborating with Sales, Client Services, and Marketing to plan customer launches and updates.  
  • Evangelizing product innovations, competitive differentiators, and new use cases to internal and external stakeholders. Serving as a product champion in webinars, client events (e.g., EMUG), and sales calls. 

Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Have a deep understanding of the scholarly publishing community and its processes
  • Experience in a professional technology, services, or publishing organization.
  • Display knowledge of PowerPoint, Salesforce, and publishing workflow solutions.
  • Have excellent communication skills, and are proactive and driven.
  • Experience in leading projects and strong business partnering skills.
  • Have proven history of achieving results in an international environment, with appreciation of differences in culture and business frameworks.

Salary ranges will vary based on state, experience level and internal equity. Pay rates are required by law in some states and are reviewed case-by-case.

U.S. National Base Pay Range: $84,900 - $141,600. Geographic differentials may apply in some locations to better reflect local market rates. This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
