Partner Sales Engineer – Cloud & Industrial Analytics
Location: Remote (US-based)
Department: Sales Engineering
Reports to: Director of Sales Engineering

The Opportunity
Litmus is transforming how industrial data is collected, contextualized, and actioned — from the edge to the cloud. As a Partner Sales Engineer, you will be at the forefront of this revolution, enabling our ecosystem of technology and channel partners to deliver impactful IIoT and industrial analytics solutions to global manufacturing customers.
You will act as a technical advisor and trusted collaborator to partners, blending deep domain knowledge in industrial automation with modern cloud architectures and analytics-driven use cases. Your efforts will accelerate partner success, scale solution delivery, and extend Litmus’ reach across the Industry 4.0 landscape.

Your Impact
  • Partner Enablement & Evangelism: Deliver compelling technical training and certification programs to onboard and empower partners across system integrators, OEMs, and cloud providers.
  • Solution Architecture & Co-Selling: Collaborate with partners to design scalable edge-to-cloud solutions, participate in joint discovery calls, and build prototype environments to showcase Litmus’ value.
  • Cloud & Analytics Expertise: Guide partners through the integration of Litmus with cloud-native services (AWS, Azure, GCP), streaming platforms (Kafka, MQTT), and analytics tools (InfluxDB, Grafana, Snowflake, Databricks).
  • Field Discovery & Innovation: Capture partner and market feedback to influence product strategy. Identify gaps and propose enhancements that improve Litmus’ interoperability, scalability, and partner fit.
  • Demo Development & Technical Content: Build and refine demo environments that highlight industrial use cases like predictive maintenance, quality analytics, and operational efficiency.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent Litmus at industry events, partner workshops, and technical forums. Position yourself as a go-to expert on the convergence of OT, IT, and cloud-native technologies.
About You
You’re technically curious and commercially savvy. You know your way around a factory floor, but you’re equally comfortable discussing architecture diagrams or APIs with cloud architects. You’ve probably installed a few edge gateways, configured cloud pipelines, and written Python scripts for good measure.
You're motivated by purpose and thrive in fast-moving environments. You want to work on the leading edge of industrial digital transformation, and you enjoy helping others succeed just as much as succeeding yourself.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of technical experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector (e.g., automation, controls, OT systems, IT/OT integration).
  • Strong foundation in industrial systems (MES, SCADA, Historians, CMMS) and discrete or batch production environments.
  • Working knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and hybrid architectures; familiarity with Kubernetes, containerized apps, and cloud object storage.
  • Experience with edge computing, industrial protocols, and real-time data integration.
  • Hands-on experience with data analytics, SQL/NoSQL databases, and streaming data (Kafka, MQTT, etc.).
  • Proficiency in scripting (Python, JavaScript preferred); ability to troubleshoot or develop small applications or integrations.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and business stakeholders, including at executive levels.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Nice to Have
  • Experience working with or for system integrators, consulting firms, or OEMs.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML pipelines, time-series databases (e.g., InfluxDB, TimescaleDB), or industrial analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with modern DevOps tooling, infrastructure-as-code, or CI/CD pipelines in OT environments.
  • Located in the EST and CST time zones
Why Litmus?
  • Be part of a mission-driven company reshaping how industry thinks about data.
  • Collaborate with world-class colleagues and partners across industrial and cloud ecosystems.
  • Flexible work environment, great culture, and a passionate, growing team.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
