Sift’s Partnerships organization is looking for an eager and energetic Partner Development Representative to join our team.

As a Partner Development Representative at Sift, you’ll be focused on identifying, recruiting, and activating strategic partners who can drive new business and expand Sift’s reach. You’ll be responsible for generating meaningful partner-sourced pipeline by identifying and engaging with high-potential partners, educating them on how Sift can positively impact their customers’ businesses, and supporting them through early co-selling motions. You’ll conduct extensive research on prospective partners and engage them through outbound prospecting, social outreach, networking, and attending field and partner events. An additional objective is to raise visibility of the Sift brand across our partner ecosystem.

Ultimately, you’ll be measured on sourcing and enabling qualified partners, driving partner-sourced opportunities, while developing core sales and partnership skills in our career development program.

What you’ll do:

  • Research and identify strategic partners (resellers, solution providers, consultancies, technology alliances, and marketplaces) that align with Sift’s ideal customer profile and go-to-market strategy.

  • Engage and qualify prospective partners by understanding their business model, customer base, and existing technology stack to determine mutual fit.

  • Conduct thoughtful outbound activities to new and existing partner prospects, including relevant and personalized calls, social and email touches. Our expectations are 40–50 meaningful activities a day.

  • Set up introductory and discovery calls between qualified partners and Sift’s Partner Managers.

  • Support partner onboarding and early enablement, including sharing core Sift collateral, demoing high-level capabilities, and ensuring partners understand our value proposition.

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and partner teams to support successful account-based and partner-based campaigns, including events, webinars, and joint marketing activities.

  • Represent the Sift brand at partner conferences and events, building strong relationships and expanding our partner network.

What would make you a great fit:

  • Get Sift Done Attitude: You are self-motivated and have the ability to thrive in a results-oriented environment.

  • Win as One Team: You want to build a culture of collaboration and growth where you celebrate each other's successes.

  • Festina Lente: You hustle and maintain urgency in all that you do.

  • Tough On Ideas: You are not afraid to ask hard questions and strive to constantly reevaluate the status quo.

  • Ever Better: You are constantly looking for growth opportunities and welcome feedback from your peers and managers.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of prior partner development experience (SaaS, tech, or startup experience is a plus).

  • Experience using sales and partner tools (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator; partner portals or PRM tools a plus).

  • BA/BS degree from an accredited university (Business or Technical major a plus) – or equivalent experience.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills.

  • Executive presence and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders at partner organizations.

  • Passion for partnerships, sales, and a desire to build a career in software and technology.

Let’s build it together:

At Sift, we are intentionally building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace. We believe that diversity drives innovation, equity is a fundamental right, and inclusion is a basic human need. We envision a place where all Sifties feel secure sharing their authentic selves and diverse experiences with their teams, their customers, and their community – ultimately using this empowerment and authenticity to build trust and create a safer Internet.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
