  • Drive growth of ERM’s EHS and Sustainability M&A Advisory services across North America.

  • Advise C-suite executives, private equity deal teams, and legal counsel on sustainability risks and opportunities.

  • Lead high-profile, multi-million-dollar transactions and post-merger integration programs.

  • Shape ERM’s global strategy and contribute thought leadership on ESG in M&A.

  • Recruit and mentor top talent to build the next generation of sustainability leaders.

What You'll Bring

Required:

  • BS in engineering, environmental science, or related discipline; professional registration preferred.

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in EHS and sustainability consulting, with deep exposure to M&A transactions.

  • Proven track record of delivering multi-million-dollar annual sales and winning strategic portfolios.

  • Established relationships with private equity firms, corporate executives, attorneys, and investment bankers.

  • Strong business acumen and ability to identify enterprise-wide solutions.

  • Expertise in EHS and sustainability risks, liabilities, and cost estimation in transaction contexts.

Preferred:

  • Recognized technical authority and marketplace reputation.

  • Experience in energy, chemical, mining, power, or manufacturing sectors.

  • Ability to lead global teams and drive innovation in deal advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand strategic client relationships with corporates, private equity, and M&A law firms.

  • Lead sales and delivery of ERM’s full suite of M&A Advisory services, including:

    • EHS and sustainability due diligence

    • Post-investment sustainability value creation

    • Post-merger integration

    • Infrastructure due diligence

    • Deal negotiation support

  • Design and execute commercial strategies to achieve significant revenue growth.

  • Provide high-level business value selling and strategic consulting advice.

  • Manage complex, multi-site due diligence engagements and global project teams.

  • Recruit, mentor, and develop emerging talent within ERM.

  • Collaborate across ERM’s global network to deliver integrated solutions and drive innovation.

For the Partner, EHS ESG Mergers & Acquisitions Advisory position, the anticipated annual base pay is $195,000 – $274,000 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. In some cases, pay may fall outside this range. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, parental leave, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, AD&D insurance, 401(k) or RRSP/DPSP, and other applicable benefits to eligible employees.

Note: Bonuses, commissions, and other forms of additional compensation are not guaranteed and subject to the sole discretion of ERM and its policies and procedures.
