Clio is the global leader in legal AI technology, empowering legal professionals and law firms of every size to work smarter, faster, and more securely.

We are transforming the legal experience for all by bettering the lives of legal professionals while increasing access to justice.

Summary:What the team does

The Legal Content team at Clio builds and delivers the foundational content and intelligence that powers legal workflows, including rules-based calendaring, document automation, and e-filing. CalendarRules, a Clio product, transforms thousands of court rules and agency codes into structured, actionable data that supports these experiences.

By maintaining a sophisticated, rules-based engine and enabling a broad ecosystem of integration partners, the team ensures legal content is accurate, scalable, and seamlessly embedded into the tools law firms rely on every day. Our work allows firms to focus on practicing law, while we power the mission-critical logic behind deadlines, filings, and documents.

Who you are

You’re curious, collaborative, and enjoy working at the intersection of technical problem solving and partner relationships. • Provide hands-on technical guidance on legal content and APIs, supporting integrations, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating with Product and Engineering teams as needed.

  • Support the partner contracting process by working with Legal to coordinate agreement reviews, track progress, and communicate timelines to partners.

  • Act as the voice of the partner internally by gathering feedback, sharing insights, and contributing to partner-facing resources and documentation.

What you may have:
  • Working knowledge of APIs and system integrations, including authentication, data flows, and common integration patterns.

  • Experience working with technical or developer-facing documentation such as API references, integration guides, or troubleshooting resources.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and triage technical issues and know when to escalate more complex problems to Engineering.

  • Comfort using data and reporting tools to understand partner usage, adoption, and health metrics.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field such as business, technology, or information systems.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
