Overview
Partner / Practice Group Leader – General Liability (Georgia)

Kelley Kronenberg is strategically expanding its nationally recognized General Liability division into the Georgia market and we are seeking a proven practice leader to establish, shape, and scale the operation from the ground up.

This is not an incremental addition to an existing team. This is an opportunity to architect a practice within one of the most well-resourced General Liability platforms in the country, backed by dedicated business development, marketing, and talent acquisition infrastructure built to support your growth. You will have direct access to firm leadership, meaningful autonomy over practice strategy, and the full weight of a national firm behind every client relationship you bring and every new one you build.

If you are a seasoned General Liability litigator with a portable book of business and the vision to build a market-leading practice in Georgia, we would love to speak with you!

Responsibilities

As Partner and Practice Group Leader for Georgia, you will:

  • Establish and lead Kelley Kronenberg's General Liability practice throughout the state of Georgia, serving as the firm's primary presence and strategic leader in the market.
  • Leverage your existing client relationships within a firm that has the infrastructure, national reach, and institutional carrier relationships to help you deepen and expand them.
  • Develop and execute a growth strategy for the Georgia market, identifying new business opportunities and expanding the firm's client base through proactive business development and cross-selling across the firm's national platform.
  • Build, recruit, and mentor a team of attorneys and support staff as the practice scales, with direct support from a dedicated Talent Acquisition team experienced in legal recruiting.
  • Collaborate closely with the firm's Chair of General Liability and national practice leadership to align strategy, share resources, and drive results across jurisdictions.
  • Manage complex General Liability defense matters from case inception through resolution, including pre-suit evaluation, discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and trial.
  • Partner with an in-house Business Development and Marketing team dedicated to positioning you and your practice for sustained growth — including client pitches, thought leadership, conference strategy, and targeted outreach.
Qualifications
  • Partner-level attorney with a minimum of 6 years of substantive General Liability litigation experience, including first-chair trial or arbitration experience.
  • Demonstrated portable book of business with established client and carrier relationships. Candidates should be prepared to discuss their practice profile, key client relationships, and revenue history in confidence.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia. Location flexible anywhere in the state.
  • Deep substantive experience in one or more of the following areas is strongly preferred: Premises Liability, Trucking and Transportation Liability, Products Liability, Construction Defect, or Medical Malpractice Defense.
  • A track record of business development success, with the ability to originate, maintain, and grow client relationships independently and through cross-selling.
  • Leadership presence and mentorship capability.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a collaborative approach. You think like an owner, operate with accountability, and thrive in environments where initiative is rewarded.
