As a Paralegal at Neighborly, a typical day for you will include:
Assist in all franchise-related legal issues for franchise brands including franchise disclosure documents, franchisee disputes, franchisee defaults and terminations, bankruptcy filings, and injunctions.
Perform contract reviews, marketing reviews, day-to-day activities related to corporate governance matters, digital/data security/cybersecurity matters and various other miscellaneous matters that may arise.
Review documents to confirm compliance with Company’s internal guidelines, policies, and procedures. Drafts various correspondence, letters, memos, agreements, NDAs, franchisee default letters, termination letters, post-termination obligation letters, releases, and other types of legal documentation. Assist in developing form agreements and other legal documents for reference and use as templates.
Manage and respond to legal documentation requests from internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, risk control groups, Accounting Department, and others.

(Required qualifications)
Experience:
- Experience within a corporation’s legal department preferred, but not required.
- Excellent verbal, written (emphasis on mastery of drafting day-to-day business correspondence required), analytical, and organizational skills required.
- Excellent mastery of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook required, with working knowledge or desire to learn Power Point.
Skills:
Proficiency in writing and verbally communicating effectively and professionally with executives, directors, shareholders, and other stakeholders in clear, practical terms. Strong analytical, organization, project management and electronic document management skills. Must be a critical thinker with meticulous attention to detail and excellent proof-reading skills.
Ability to maintain composure and thrive in a deadline driven environment under pressure while demonstrating the utmost professionalism and a strong customer-focused attitude. Proficiency in organizing and prioritizing multiple time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced environment daily. Ability to quickly change tasks and topics multiple times daily as priorities and status of matters pivot.
Enthusiastic team-player attitude with the ability to work easily with others.
Excellent professional judgment and discretion regarding highly confidential matters.
Education:
Undergraduate degree preferred.
Paralegal certificate preferred.
Schedule/In office requirements:
Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office at our Irving or our Waco, Texas headquarters and 2 days remote
