Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our dynamic Legal Department. This hybrid role will provide broad-based support to all members of the legal team, including assistance with regulatory licensing, litigation management, corporate governance, contract management, intellectual property, legal operations, and special projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work across multiple legal disciplines in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Licensing & Regulatory Support:
    • Assist with preparation, submission, and maintenance of state lending licenses and regulatory filings
    • Maintain licensing calendars and coordinate timely renewals and reporting obligations
    • Assist with state examinations, coordinate internally between different departments to gather requested data/documents, and monitor state responses
  • Litigation & Dispute Management:
    • Track and manage incoming legal notices, subpoenas, and litigation matters
    • Coordinate with outside counsel on case updates, discovery, and document production
    • Maintain litigation tracking databases and assist with reporting
  • Corporate Governance:
    • Support entity management including formation, registration, and annual filings
    • Maintain corporate records, minute books, and organizational charts
  • Contracts & Intellectual Property:
    • Assist with contract lifecycle management, including maintaining templates and tracking signatures
    • Review and summarize vendor agreements and NDAs, as needed
    • Maintain internal logs for trademark filings and domain name disputes, including entering updates, tracking filing statuses, deadlines, and renewals, and ensuring tables remain accurate and current.
  • Legal Operations & Special Projects:
    • Help streamline legal processes, implement tools, and improve workflows
    • Conduct legal and business research as requested
    • Support ad hoc and cross-functional projects with agility and a solutions-oriented mindset

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate
  • 5+ years of relevant paralegal experience, preferably in a corporate setting
  • Experience with financial services, fintech, or consumer lending is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong research skills, including ability to conduct state law or regulatory research
  • Proficient in Google Workspace; familiarity with Confluence and Jira a plus
