PAID SOCIAL SPECIALIST

The Paid Social Specialist is a client-facing role that works closely with the paid social media community and internal client teams. They will plan, implement, manage and report on paid social platform campaigns across numerous owned clients. The ideal candidate will be able to act as an internal and client-facing authority on paid social platforms, should have the ability to find key performance insights and be confident in communicating opportunities to clients to improve performance. The ideal candidate has experience handling strategic executions, excellent communication skills and is a team player who is adept at collaborating with internal brand, analytics, social, production and creative teams, as well as direct client interaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop paid social plans, tactical strategies, recommendations, and POVs
  • Build social media ad campaigns in Meta, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Snapchat, TikTok, and Pinterest from the ground up
  • Present recommendations to internal teams as well as assigned clients
  • Own routine hands-on-keyboard platform tasks without oversight like:
    • Pixel placement, conversion event QA, building audiences, strategizing campaign structure, testing multiple ad types, A/B testing, and rotating out ads with creative refreshes, in-platform Brand Lift Studies
  • Weekly checking and adjusting of budget pacing for multiple campaigns and ad sets relative to planning documents
  • Analyze campaign performance regularly and recommending necessary optimizations, where applicable, including participation in larger client/agency reporting calls
  • Stay current on emerging social media trends, partners and technologies to provide best-in-class recommendations for clients, as well as larger thought leadership for the agency through blog posts, learning series, etc.
  • Provide support for supervisors (Paid Social Manager, AD, etc.), as well as deep integration with full integrated media planning team.
  • Supporting Paid Social Leadership with Business Manager setups, maintenance, and auditing for the agency at large including partnering with clients and enacting best practices for account sharing
  • Independently handle all communication and relationship-building activities for designated clients. For other clients, partner with leadership to develop and execute communication strategies.
  • Assist in the agency’s overall strategy and process for paid social execution, as directed by supervisors, 

 

Requirements:

  • Two to three years of paid social media planning and buying experience
  • Working knowledge of the paid social media space and related self-serve platforms, including Meta, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Snapchat, TikTok, Pinterest, and Google Ads
  • Curiosity is a must - consistent seeking of information, new ad tactics, and the best ways to service our clients
  • Keen eye for details and accuracy
  • Strong ability to multi-task to support multiple projects and campaigns
  • Self-starter - ability to independently manage own workflow and deliverables
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, and superlative attention to details, particularly financial aspects
  • Experience working on a team and managing up to supervisors
  • Strong Google Docs suite and Excel/PPT skills required
  • Strong skills with analytical platforms to validate paid social platform reporting, including but not limited to: Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Paid Social On-Platform Planning Tools (Google Search Trends, TikTok Creator Tools, Meta Ad Library)
  • Strong client service orientation, excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage approximately 3-4 clients, while providing support for others
