Maximus (https://www.maximustribe.com/) is a mission-driven consumer performance medicine company that empowers individuals to achieve their physical and cognitive peak through precision telehealth care. We are a high-growth, profitable company tailored to ambitious people who refuse to settle for average. We are backed by top Silicon Valley VCs such as Founders Fund and 8VC as well as leading angel investors/operators from companies like Bulletproof, Tinder, Coinbase, Daily Stoic, & Shopify.

About The Role

We are looking for a highly technical Paid Search & YouTube Manager who thrives on intent capture, granular data analysis, and scientific rigor. In this role, you will be instrumental in transitioning our SEM and YouTube operations in-house, taking ownership of these critical high-intent channels to help us scale.

You will work directly with the Director of Paid Media to manage, execute, and optimize campaigns primarily on Google (Search & YouTube) and Microsoft (Bing). This role requires an individual who embodies "curiosity"—you never accept "that’s just the way it is" or rely solely on automated bidding strategies without oversight. Instead, you dive deep into the Search Query Reports to understand the "why" behind performance. You will be expected to work transparently, sharing work queues and mid-stream insights to ensure alignment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own Campaign Execution: Take end-to-end ownership of campaign setup, management, and optimization across Google Ads (Search, YouTube, Discovery/Demand Gen) and Microsoft Ads. You will lead the transition of these responsibilities from our current agency partners

  • Master Intent & Keywords: Meticulously manage keyword strategy. You will move beyond simple broad match reliance to build robust negative keyword lists, structure high-intent ad groups, and maximize Quality Score to improve efficiency.

  • Drive YouTube Performance: Treat YouTube as a direct-response performance channel. You will collaborate with the creative team to iterate on video hooks, pacing, and CTAs based on retention rates and conversion data, not just vanity view metrics.

  • Scientific A/B Testing: Rigorous A/B testing of headlines, descriptions, and extensions, and landing pages.

  • Master Attribution: Utilize internal analytics and multi-touch attribution (MTA) tools alongside platform data to triangulate performance.

  • Analyze & Iterate: Assist in the set-up and evaluation geo holdout tests to prove incrementality.

  • Work Transparently: Maintain visible work queues and rigorous reporting standards. You will prepare data for weekly paid media performance reviews to discuss budget shifts, CPA targets, and anomalies.

Qualifications
  • Platform Expertise: Deep, hands-on mastery of Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising is non-negotiable. You must have a track record of scaling direct-response accounts in a D2C environment.

  • Demand Gen / Youtube Experience: Proven experience managing YouTube for conversions (VAC/Demand Gen), not just brand awareness. You understand how to buy YouTube traffic that converts.

  • Tech Stack: Proficiency with 1st party analytics tools is essential (GA4, Looker, Tableau or the like). Preferred experience with (or similar tools to) MTA platforms (Northbeam, Triple Whale), and experience implementing tracking pixels (GTM).

  • Resourcefulness: You are scrappy. You use the tools in front of you to prove value and are willing to track down the information you need rather than waiting for it to be handed to you.

  • Data-Driven Mindset: You base your decisions on numbers, ROAS/CAC targets, and data, not assumptions.

Nice To Haves
  • Experience in the Health & Wellness, Telehealth, or Biohacking space.

  • Proven success utilizing Google Scripts or automated rules to streamline optimizations.

  • Experience using AI tools (Claude, GoMarble, Gemini) for platform strategy and analysis.

World-Class Benefits
  • Flexible vacation/time-off policies - we manage energy, not time and promote work life flexibility

  • Exposure to top-tier leadership and a meritocratic culture where the best ideas win regardless of title.

  • Opportunity to work with a high-growth, science-backed brand changing the landscape of performance medicine.

  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on people's health and wellness

  • Fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with significant growth opportunities

  • Extended options exercise window for loyal employees (3 months for every year of service; e.g. 1 year for 4+ year employees)

  • Liquidity of options whenever available
