Role Description: Paid Media Strategist
 
Role Purpose: 

The Wasabi marketing team is focused on driving growth and building a global brand that customers love. We focus not only on acquiring users, but creating content and campaigns that nurture our website visitors from unknown prospects to loyal brand advocates. Our team is growing rapidly, and includes team members focused on product marketing, content creation, media partnerships, advertising, and inbound marketing. 

We’re looking for an experienced and analytical Paid Media Strategist who can leverage their advertising and market expertise to grow user acquisition globally. You will join a growing growth marketing team and play a crucial role in defining, executing, and measuring Wasabi’s user acquisition program.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Director, Growth Marketing (Boston HQ) and serve as the main cross-functional stakeholder to manage demand generation and conversion activities across key audiences to support growth for Wasabi’s cloud storage platform 
  • Manage acquisition and retention marketing campaigns across digital channels, with a strong focus on Paid Social, Paid Search, SEM, and display 
  • Play a key role in building a more robust Account Based Marketing program for Wasabi — elevating the marketing program from standard B2B go to market motions to a truly personalized ABM experience 
  • Assist in analyzing marketing data and KPIs, building reports to communicate performance and analyses to the broader marketing team and leadership, as well as implement a testing strategy to help shape future marketing initiatives. 
  • Own end-to-end execution of campaigns, including implementation, optimization, reporting, and analysis 
  • Integrally contribute to the planning of Wasabi’s growth marketing strategy, building tactics and playbooks to efficiently scale multiple channels across the globe 
  • Work collaboratively across Sales and Marketing teams to help achieve Wasabi’s growth goals. 
  • Manage media and creative agencies to ensure their strategies align with our objectives 
  • Understand the customer journey and discover new opportunities to reach existing users and prospects through our channels. 
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of related digital marketing and advertising experience 
  • Experience driving campaigns and optimizations across Google, native advertising, sponsored content, and other media programming 
  • HubSpot and Salesforce experience a plus 
  • Demonstrated passion for solving consumer problems 
  • Data-driven analytical mindset — you thrive in the depths of an excel spreadsheet, looking to understand what is driving business results. 
  • An ability to think outside of well-trodden pathways and adapt quickly 
  • Independent problem solver that actively identifies areas of opportunity 
  • Outstanding attention to detail. 
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced environment. 
  • We remain working from home the majority of the time, so you must be a self-starter and independent worker.
