In this role, you'll be the architect of our paid media strategy—managing multi-channel campaigns across LinkedIn, Google, display, and programmatic platforms while continuously driving down cost-per-acquisition and scaling pipeline contribution.
This isn't a "set it and forget it" role. You'll be deeply hands-on: building campaigns from scratch, writing ad copy, analyzing performance data daily, running A/B tests, and making real-time optimizations. You'll also be strategic: developing audience segmentation frameworks, building annual media plans, and partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Product Marketing, and Creative teams to ensure paid programs align with business priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Paid Media Management (70% of time):

  • Develop channel strategy: LinkedIn, Google Ads, display/programmatic, retargeting, social (Facebook, YouTube)
  • Build audience segmentation and targeting: job titles, industries, account lists, lookalikes, intent data
  • Create and manage campaigns aligned to Primary, Secondary, and Evergreen initiatives
  • Write ad copy and coordinate creative development (working with Graphic Designer)
  • Manage budgets, bids, and pacing across channels
  • Conduct A/B testing: ad creative, messaging, targeting, landing pages
  • Optimize campaigns weekly based on performance data
  • Manage vendor relationships: ad platforms, agencies, DSPs

Trade Publication & Industry Media (15% of time):

  • Research and recommend industry publications for advertising (Safety+Health, EHS Today, ISHN, etc.)
  • Negotiate media buys and sponsorships
  • Coordinate creative production for print/digital ads
  • Measure publication effectiveness and ROI

Landing Page & Conversion Optimization (15% of time):

  • Build landing pages for campaigns (working with Marketing Coordinator)
  • Conduct conversion rate optimization (CRO): A/B testing headlines, CTAs, forms, layouts
  • Implement tracking: UTMs, conversion pixels, attribution
  • Partner with Marketing Automation Manager on form strategy and lead routing

Metrics Owned:

  • Cost per MQL and cost per SQL by channel
  • Paid channel contribution to pipeline and revenue
  • Conversion rates (CTR, form fill, MQL)
  • Return on ad spend (ROAS)
  • CAC payback period

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field such as business or marketing, or equivalent experience
  • ·       Expert-level knowledge of LinkedIn Campaign Manager and Google Ads
    ·       Experience with programmatic/display advertising platforms
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to succinctly communicate complex technical concepts to a broad audience
  • Ability to measure success in driving engagement and effectively communicating key metrics
  • Self-motivated, able to work autonomously and collaborate with remote teams, and is adaptable to changing priorities
  • Ability to coordinate efforts cross-functionally to achieve positive end results

Compensation:

  • Annual Base Salary Range of 80k-90k
  • Annual Bonus Opportunity of 10%

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
