Job Description

We’re looking for a data-driven Paid Audio Senior Manager to scale Wise’s advertising activity across the global podcast and streaming landscape. This role will be rooted in maintaining direct relationships with audio networks and platforms, but will have a strong focus on leveraging automated, targetable and scalable ad buying solutions.

You will own and develop advertising partnerships with major audio platforms (i.e. Spotify, iHeartMedia, Acast, Audacy, etc.) and use their proprietary technology to drive efficient, high-volume & sustainable customer acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Scalable Audio Strategy & Execution

  • Define the roadmap for "direct-automated" audio buying, focusing on platforms that allow for rapid scaling and precise audience targeting

  • Own the end-to-end management of self-serve platforms (e.g., Spotify Ads Manager) and direct automated solutions from major networks (e.g., Acast’s automated marketplace)

  • Structure and execute network-level buys with partners like iHeartMedia, SXM Media, and Global, leveraging their internal tech to target key audiences across their entire portfolios

2. Optimization & Programmatic-Direct

  • Move beyond "show-level" buying to prioritize audience-level buying, utilizing first-party and third-party data to find Wise customers wherever they are listening

  • Manage real-time optimizations, creative rotation, and frequency caps for campaigns running across multiple streaming and podcast environments

  • Negotiate programmatic guaranteed deals that bypass the open exchange but maintain the efficiency of automated execution

3. Performance & Attribution

  • Use a data-first approach to measure the success of automated audio ads, closely monitoring metrics like CVR, CPA, customer LTV and contribution margin

  • Partner with Wise’s Analytics & Marketing Platform teams to integrate platform-specific UI data (like Spotify’s Ad Analytics or Global’s DAX) with Wise’s internal attribution models

  • Design and execute a robust “test & learn” strategy, including creative A/B testing, audience & targeting testing, contextual alignment testing, etc.

Qualifications

You’ll love this role if you . . .

  • Have a performance marketing background with a strong understanding of the audio advertising landscape across markets (US, UK, EU, APAC & LATAM)

  • Have a proven track record managing large media budgets and driving measurable performance against direct response KPIs

  • Are familiar with pixel-based audio attribution providers like Podscribe

  • Are a team player with strong communication skills

Additional Information

Additional skills we would value . . .

  • Strong analytical mindset and experience working with marketing mix modeling (MMM)

  • Experience with Looker, Lightdash or similar data visualization tool

  • The ability to stay organized in a fast-paced business
