About ai&

ai& is a new global AI technology company dedicated to meeting the world's growing demand for AI. Our vision is twofold: to serve as a premier AI lab specializing in localization, and to act as a global infrastructure and compute provider. We are building a unified, optimized global platform that integrates next-generation data centers and infrastructure, heterogeneous compute serving, and advanced model services. We believe that the most effective way to build and scale AI is to own the stack from top to bottom.

At ai&, we empower small teams with the autonomy needed to tackle significant challenges. Our approach is to deconstruct large problems into manageable components and solve complex issues collaboratively. We seek highly motivated, mission-driven individuals who demonstrate strong personal agency. We value curiosity as the foundation of talent, and we are looking for people eager to develop alongside our evolving technology and expanding business.

We are actively hiring worldwide, with presence in Tokyo, SF, Austin, and Toronto. We are more than happy to meet exceptional talent where they are.

Build.io is an ai& company.

Build cloud platform for teams who want to ship product, not manage infrastructure.

AI and data centers are dominating the developer experience today. Join a team that is delivering leading-edge tooling for teams that build products at speed. Build.io provides a modern PaaS for companies that want to deploy and scale applications without managing the underlying infrastructure, supporting customers across the US, EU and Japan.

We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Account Executive to help grow Build.io’s presence in the US market. You’ll work with technology leaders, engineering organizations and enterprise buyers to understand their infrastructure and application delivery needs and show how Build.io can help their teams move faster.

This role is suited to someone who has successfully sold complex technical software into mid-market and enterprise organizations, is comfortable navigating long and multi-threaded sales cycles, and can build credibility with both technical and executive stakeholders.

Our small but growing team includes software and infrastructure engineers, hardware and AI delivery experts, security specialists, active open source contributors and commercial team members.

If you enjoy building new markets, developing strategic customer relationships and selling technical infrastructure products into sophisticated organizations, we welcome you to apply.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for developing and closing strategic new business for Build.io in the US, with a focus on larger mid-market and enterprise customers.

You’ll own the full sales cycle from account planning and prospecting through discovery, technical evaluation, commercial negotiation and close. You’ll work closely with engineering, product and leadership throughout complex evaluations, migrations and procurement processes.

This is a hands-on role in a growing company. You’ll have significant ownership over your territory, pipeline and account strategy, while also helping shape Build.io’s enterprise go-to-market approach in the US.

What You’ll Do

● Build and manage a strong pipeline of mid-market and enterprise opportunities
● Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through negotiation and close
● Develop relationships with CTOs, CIOs, VPs of Engineering and other senior buyers
● Run effective discovery and position Build.io against customer business and technical needs
● Navigate complex enterprise buying processes, including procurement, security and legal reviews
● Negotiate commercial terms and close strategic, high-value deals
● Drive expansion opportunities across existing accounts
● Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management and CRM discipline

What We’re Looking For

● 4+ years of B2B SaaS, cloud, infrastructure or enterprise software sales experience
● Strong track record of meeting or exceeding quota
● Experience selling complex technical products into mid-market and enterprise accounts
● Experience managing multi-stakeholder and longer sales cycles
● Strong prospecting, discovery, negotiation and closing skills
● Confidence selling to both senior business leaders and technical buyers
● Strong ownership of pipeline generation, forecasting and revenue outcomes
● Self-motivated and comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-growth environment

Nice to Have

● Experience selling PaaS, IaaS, DevOps, cloud infrastructure or developer tooling
● Experience selling six-figure annual contracts
● Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, Vercel, Heroku or similar platforms
● Existing network within the US SaaS, cloud or technology ecosystem
● Experience building a new territory or enterprise sales motion

Hiring Process

We’ll review all resumes and reach out to successful candidates to start the following process:

● Initial conversation to align on background and role fit
● Sales interview focused on enterprise selling, pipeline generation and deal execution
● Final 2 interviews with leadership

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
