Job Title: Oracle ERP Solution Architect –Procurement

 

Classification: Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)

 

Reports to: President

 

Work Location/Travel: Work is remote or on-site. Percentage of travel, where the travel occurs, such as locally or in specific countries or states, and whether the travel is overnight, varies. This resource must be willing and able to travel as required by the customer project.

Job Summary:

Oracle ERP Solution Architect specializing in Oracle Cloud ERP and Procurement, responsible for designing and delivering scalable solutions across enterprise resource planning and Procure-to-Pay processes. Provides solution architecture leadership across Oracle Cloud ERP, translating business requirements into effective solutions while aligning business processes, integrations, security, and enterprise architecture.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Lead solution architecture and functional design for Oracle Cloud ERP and Procurement.
  • Design and optimize end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, including purchasing, requisitions, receiving, invoicing, approvals, and supplier management.
  • Provide functional expertise across Oracle Cloud ERP, Procurement, and related Financials modules.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable Oracle Cloud ERP solutions.
  • Lead requirements workshops, solution design sessions, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Define application configurations, integrations, extensions, reporting, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on integrations between Oracle Cloud ERP and third-party systems.
  • Support testing, data conversion, deployment, and post-production activities.
  • Ensure solutions align with Oracle Cloud best practices and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Provide guidance on solution dependencies, risks, and impacts across ERP modules.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and pursue continuing education opportunities, such as training and certification exams.
  • Participate on internal projects.
  • Provide expertise and help to others, as needed, on projects.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • May assist with training members of the technical staff.
  • May conduct interviews.
  • Assigns duties and responsibilities and oversees workflow of project staff.
  • May conduct project performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

Work Environment:

The work environment is remote or on-site at a client location. While remote, employees are expected to provide office space for themselves with a professional background (including virtual backgrounds) and noise level. A reliable and consistent internet connection is required.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Bending, sitting, lifting, and/or driving.

 

Position Type and expected hours of work:

  • Full time work during Apex IT business hours and, at times, outside of business hours, if required.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of Oracle ERP experience, including significant Oracle Cloud ERP experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with Oracle Cloud Procurement and related ERP processes.
  • Strong knowledge of Procure-to-Pay and Oracle Cloud ERP.
  • Experience leading Oracle Cloud ERP solution design and implementations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Oracle Cloud certification preferred.
